After adding hibernate-search-orm in pom.xml file I am facing 2 issues.
Issue 1:
Getting below notification in application.properties
Issue 2:
Getting this compile-time error at the end of all error message
....defined in class path resource [org/springframework/boot/autoconfigure/orm/jpa/HibernateJpaAutoConfiguration.class]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.AbstractMethodError
Here is my pom.xml

with this one
<dependency>

</dependency>
then no compile-error shows up.
Question 1: How can I solve the Issue 1?
Question 2: What is the difference between hibernate-search-orm and hibernate-search-engine?
Question 3: Please advice me to solve the compile-error issue.
Thanks in advance.
Issue 1: Solved
Forgot to put spring.jpa.properties at the beginning.
Here is the complete one.
spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.search.default.directory_provider = filesystem
spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.search.default.indexBase = /var/lucene/indexes
Issue 2: Solved
Well, just replacing the version of hibernate-search-orm from 5.5.4.Final to 4.5.1.Final solved the issue.
The final dependency is
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate-search-orm</artifactId>
<version>4.5.1.Final</version>
</dependency>

I tried to delete the .idea folder or "invalid cache and restart" but nor the first neither the second approach fixed the problem.
There is a similar question Cannot resolve symbol SpringApplication but the answer didn't resolve my issue. how can I fix that?
Running the following command solved for me this issue :
mvn idea:idea
I fixed this issue by downgrading the maven version.
you seem to use Spring Boot version 1.0.1, #SpringBootApplication annotation was introduced in 1.2
You are not using SpringBoot parent but your own, you need to add dependency:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-dependencies</artifactId>
<version>${spring-boot.version}</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>import</scope>
</dependency>
you need to add dependency
<parent>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-parent</artifactId>
<version>2.3.0.RELEASE</version>
<relativePath/> <!-- lookup parent from repository -->
</parent>
I have an issue when i try to fix my code. I keep getting issue when I reload maven/reimport maven
Cannot resolve commons-collections:commons-collections:2.1
When I open Maven I see in the folder in Dependencies an error starts in commons-validator:commons-validator:1.3.1

The error is "Cannot resolve commons-collections:commons-collections:2.1"
It has nothing to do with "commons-validator" dependency.
The commons collection artifact has moved to a different location in maven artifactory.
Please check this out

try to change version of your package, but better find dependency in https://mvnrepository.com/ which you need, copy this text and try to reimport.

Why am I getting Unknown error in line 1 of pom.xml?

Pretty straight forward, I'm having an issue with my POM.xml file.
This is my pom.xml file.

Go to STS or eclipse marketplace and install https://download.eclipse.org/m2e-wtp/releases/1.4/
Install m2e connector and clean and install then it will work.
Eclipse is complaining that it cannot find Wss4jSecurityInterceptor when I'm trying to wire it up in my Spring Boot configuration (it's not available for importing):

With spring-ws-security dependency added to the pom.xml (as per M. Deinum's suggestion) I'm now seeing the following run time error:

Adding the following dependency:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.ws.security</groupId>
<artifactId>wss4j</artifactId>
<version>1.5.8</version>
</dependency>
seem to resolve the above error, but is this a move in the right direction?
Concerns:
With the above additions, should spring-boot-starter-security be present in the pom.xml?
How does one control the versions of the added wss4j and should one? For example, wss4j-1.5.8.jar seems to be incompatible, while wss4j-1.6.18 seems to work. How does one correlate the version of Spring Boot to its required dependencies?
Could someone please comment on the approach? Here's the resulting pom.xml:

In fact I had the same problem and this answer helped me. When using Maven to add the dependency to wss4j you have the choice to add a bundle or zip/source reference, resulting in a dependency like the following:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.ws.security</groupId>
<artifactId>wss4j</artifactId>
<version>1.6.19</version>
<type>zip</type>
<classifier>source-release</classifier>
</dependency>
This resulted in a NoClassDefFoundError. I got it to work by removing the type and classifier elements like mentioned in the answer above:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.ws.security</groupId>
<artifactId>wss4j</artifactId>
<version>1.6.19</version>
</dependency>
After this correction my code worked fine. BTW I had no need to add any of the other dependencies following this one in the answer above.
