Pretty straight forward, I'm having an issue with my POM.xml file.
This is my pom.xml file.

Go to STS or eclipse marketplace and install https://download.eclipse.org/m2e-wtp/releases/1.4/
Install m2e connector and clean and install then it will work.

Is there any problem with the POM.xml ?
Also below is my application.properties
server.servlet.context-path=/myapplication
I've already trid to remove the context path and rebuild it again, but it still the same.
Apparently I must append this dependency in POM.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-tomcat</artifactId>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
Also I must add this
#SpringBootApplication
public class SpringBootTomcatApplication extends SpringBootServletInitializer {
}
Now it's working thanks.

Cannot resolve commons-collections:commons-collections:2.1
Cannot resolve org.apache.commons:commons-collections4:4.4
Cannot resolve commons-digester:commons-digester:1.6
Cannot resolve xml-apis:xml-apis:1.0.b2
Cannot resolve commons-logging:commons-logging:1.0.4
The error is "Cannot resolve commons-collections:commons-collections:2.1"
It has nothing to do with "commons-validator" dependency.
The commons collection artifact has moved to a different location in maven artifactory.
Please check this out
https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.commons/commons-collections4
try to change version of your package, but better find dependency in https://mvnrepository.com/ which you need, copy this text and try to reimport.

log4j-core it's not present on classpath with spring-boot-starter-log4j2

I configured my spring boot application according this -> http://docs.spring.io/spring-boot/docs/current/reference/html/howto-logging.html#howto-configure-log4j-for-logging
But when the application start, appear the message:
ERROR StatusLogger Log4j2 could not find a logging implementation.
Please add log4j-core to the classpath. Using SimpleLogger to log to the console.
It's weird because when I compile the uber jar it's possible to see the log4j jar embedded. And if I put the dependencies of lo4j2 manually the application works.

Error after adding hibernate-search-orm in pom.xml

After adding hibernate-search-orm in pom.xml file I am facing 2 issues.
Issue 1:
Getting below notification in application.properties
Issue 2:
Getting this compile-time error at the end of all error message

with this one
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate-search-engine</artifactId>
<version>5.5.4.Final</version>
</dependency>
then no compile-error shows up.
Question 1: How can I solve the Issue 1?
Question 2: What is the difference between hibernate-search-orm and hibernate-search-engine?
Question 3: Please advice me to solve the compile-error issue.
Thanks in advance.
Issue 1: Solved
Forgot to put spring.jpa.properties at the beginning.
Here is the complete one.
spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.search.default.directory_provider = filesystem
spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.search.default.indexBase = /var/lucene/indexes
Issue 2: Solved
Well, just replacing the version of hibernate-search-orm from 5.5.4.Final to 4.5.1.Final solved the issue.
The final dependency is
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate-search-orm</artifactId>
<version>4.5.1.Final</version>
</dependency>
