Selenium in a web service - jar not loaded - java

I tried to implement a web service in a bottom-up manner. First I created a dynamic web project and implemented a function that uses selenium. I then added the selenium-server-standalone-3.23.0.jar to the project's buildpath. Then I added the same jar file to the deployment assembly. Then I used the web service wizard to generate the web server and the client. After that I added the same selenium jar file to the WEB-INF/lib folder of the server and tried to run the function, the function returned this exception:

Try to avoid using standalone jars rather use selenium-java-2.37.0.jar and try. It worked for me. Keep your lib folder inside WEB-INF only.

i am using jjwt-0.9.1.jar and runtime gives this exception for jersey reset API call.

Tomcat CANNOT find the referenced files in java class

I am using tomcat as a web server to deploy my webApp.
The jsp file calls one of the java class to retrive a list of content. The jsp code is like:
<%
String queryKey = request.getParameter("id");
int jobID = Integer.parseInt(queryKey);
out.println(jobID);
ArrayList<Integer> myTopList = JobRecByBoWJaccard.topJobsByBoW(jobID);
%>
In my java class, I used a txt file as reference to remove stop words. The code in java class is like:
public TermsExtraction() {
try {
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(
"WebContent/StopWords/stop-words-english1.txt"));
for (String line; (line = br.readLine()) != null;) {
this.stopWords.add(line.trim());
}
// System.out.println(this.stopWords);
br.close();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
This file was called within the class's constructor.
But, when the tomcat is loaded, the error message was given as:

If you want to get the ServletContext outside the servlet than create a ContextListner class and inside this class store the context object when it being initialize and after you can get it anywhere in application using a static method. I am pasting an example of ContextListener
package com.y;
import javax.servlet.ServletContext;
import javax.servlet.ServletContextEvent;
import javax.servlet.ServletContextListener;
public class ContextListener implements ServletContextListener {
private static ServletContext servletContext;
#Override
public void contextDestroyed(ServletContextEvent arg0) {
}
#Override
public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent arg0) {
servletContext = arg0.getServletContext();
}
public static ServletContext getServletContext(){
return servletContext;
}
}
Here you also have to give the entry of this listner in to the web.xml like below
<listener>
<listener-class>com.y.ContextListener</listener-class>
</listener>
And now you can read any file using the getResourceAsStream method of this Context as I mentioned in my earlier comment.
I think you need to pass the absolute path.
You could try with "./StopWords/stop-words-english1.txt" - the "WebContent" might be redundant.
Also you can get the current working directory using the below command and construct your path accordingly.
System.getProperty("user.dir"));

Make sure the Friend is annotated with #NodeEntity.
Tell spring the location (package(s)) of all your node entities so that it knows the mapping.
Instead of creating the graph db yourself, let spring manage it for you (use neo4j namespace)
I think you should save the Friend entity instead of name. i.e. change the below
neo.save(friend.getName());
to
neo.save(friend);

// Find the text input element by its name

If you are using selenium-java-3.7.0 then make sure it should contain "httpcore-4.4.6.jar" file inside libs folder. If not then include it and import it in your project.

JDBC with springsource tool suite doesn't work

I've just made the switch from netbeans to the springsource tool suite and I'm having one problem:
I've downloaded the mysql-connector-java-5.1.20-bin.jar added the file to the libraries but still I get this warning:

INFO: Destroying Spring FrameworkServlet 'appServlet'
This is my connection code think it's pretty standard:
public class Database {
protected static Connection connection = null;
public static boolean checkConnection() throws Exception {
if (connection == null || connection.isClosed()) {
String driver = "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver";
String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/2012gwtgr2";
String login = "gwx2";
String pass = "VCxxxR";
try {
Class.forName(driver).newInstance();
connection = DriverManager.getConnection(url, login, pass);
} catch (Exception ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
}
}
if (connection == null || connection.isClosed()) {
return false;
} else {
return true;
}
}
}
Can someone help me please?
Kind regards,
If you are having a web project then it should be placed under the WebContent/WEB-INF/lib folder and add it to your libraries also. This should fix the problem.
