How to resolve JPA #PersistenceContext nullpointer exception

My understanding is that my persistence unit should be auto-magically dropped in where i have used the #PersistanceContext annotation, please correct me here if there is more that i need to do somewhere.

per chrylis -cautiouslyoptimistic-'s suggestion i removed field injection and removed injection entirly
EntityManagerFactory factory = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("datasource");
EntityManager entityManager = factory.createEntityManager();
When the class is instantiated, i step through the 2 assignment's. factory is assigned and appears to be working as expected, however, when i call 'factory.createEntityManager()' i get a null pointer exception. Some digging and it appears to be that i dont have a transactionInterceptor. So, i created a boilerplate one and added:

But to no avail, same error & the interceptor is still not set in the Factory i get back.

Spring Integration JDBC Insert Statement

I'm new to Spring integration. I'm trying to write a POJO for my database. I'm getting this error, which I don't quite understand. Is my syntax wrong, or am I using channels/adapters/gateways in the wrong manner?
no declaration can be found for element int-jdbc:outbound-channel-adapter.

spring-integration-jdbc-2.2.xsd
Don't put a version on the schema import. It has to match the version you are using (4.3).
If you leave the version off, Spring will resolve the right version for you (see /META-INF/spring.schemas in the jar).

In any case; everything (jars, schema) must have matching versions.

mybatis works in #Test but not int the main code

I'm using mybatis-spring in a concept test. All is working with my database when I'm running the test but when use the code in a service I get a java.lang.NullPointerException

As I said, the test are working connected with my database.

You need to autowire your orderService in your OrderResource class.
Change
OrderService orderService = new OrderService();
TO:
#Autowired
private OrderService orderService;
Avoid creating object with new operator in Spring applications. Since you are creating your oderService with new operator it won't have the dependency it needed for the dao object.

There was a problem with the compatibility of the dependencies than couldn't be seen from eclipse. Here is final pom.xml I'm using:

I'm creating a maven spring mysql application and I'm facing the issue below

I am using the default schema test created during mysqlserver creation. Any help is appreciated.

You have a small typo in your bean.xml file.
Change value="jdbc:mysql//localhost:3306/test" to value="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test"

ClassNotFoundException FreeMarkerConfigurationFactory

I have a big web application that uses FreeMarker. When I recently updated to Spring 3.2.4 and ran the web app via jetty or tomcat I get the following exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.springframework.ui.freemarker.FreeMarkerConfigurationFactory.
I know that Spring-webmvc has the FreeMarkerConfigurationFactory class in it so I have the dependency included in my POM. I do not know why I´m getting the exception. I have included my POM and my spring servlet.
