Unable to connect to Google cloud SQL - java

I am using Google compute engine, and has authorized my VM instance to Google cloud SQL. I am using this driver com.mysql.jdbc.Driver to connect to MySQL installed in compute engine VM, but unfortunately getting the following error:
com.workfor.service.DBConnection : null
com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure
The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.

Are you trying to interface with the compute engine from a separate computer?
If that is the case, it seems your server isn't receiving the connection from the client.
Check the firewall client and server side, make sure none of your connections are being blocked.

I'm facing this issue only CentOS 7, when I run the same on Windows laptop, I don't face any exceptions. Any help, will be appreciated..
You have to add
ContextHandler.setMaxFormContentSize(int maxSizeInBytes);
ContextHandler.setMaxFormKeys(int formKeys);
in your java class then you will not get that exception.
You can solve this problem in three ways one with vm arguments,Java code and through configuration xml files.
Below is the link from jetty

I am new to both jenkins and websphere. Am I making any silly mistake here?

Broken pipe when calling Request.getInputStream over Jetty

I'm running a high volume java web-app over a jetty 9.x server (4k-5k qps).
My servlet (MyServlet.java) is simple Java class the extends HttpServlet.
When getting the request object HttpServletRequest I invoke the getInputStream() method (as can be seen in the below stack) and then getting the below IOException.
I know that 'Broken pipe' means that the client closed the connection but when calculating the amount of time the request spent in the server I get ti 1ms and my client timeout is configured for much more.
Could this be the result of too much load? What could cause it? Is there some configuration in Jetty which I can play with that might affect this?

It appears I had a problem in the load balancer which delayed the requests causing the client to close the connection (due to timeout).

Dropwizard 0.7 service hangs while writing output

I have a dropwizard 0.7.0 service.
jetty 9.0.7
jersey 1.18.1
Occasionally (1 in 5000 requests) the service will spend 60 seconds writing its response. AppDynamics is showing that 60 seconds are being spent inside com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.WebComponent$Writer:write:300. After 60 seconds we get the following exception:

What could cause such behaviour?
A couple of other observations:
The errors do not correspond with peaks in load.
This error happens on multiple endpoints; there is no definite link between these endpoints, but they are some of the endpoints returning larger entities.
The resource method is succeeding, i.e. the entity is fetched from the database successfully along with any required processing and authorization.

trying to connect to the mysql server on tomcat6: java.net.UnknownHostException

I having some trouble to connect to my mysql server from my java/scala worker.
Here is the stack trace I got:
The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.

It works fine until a certain point, the worker is unable to resolve the host. If I restart the worker, it is working again.
Important thing: I am able to ping the host from the machine!
I tried to use ipv4 instead with Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true but I got the same error with the ipv4 stack.
I don't have any clue so far! Thanks for your help guys!
There can be multiple reasons for this Well it might happen if you do not manage your connection pool properly. in the sense if you are maintaining a connection pool yourself (or say using apache dhcp or something), then either you have too many connections open that everything gets blocked or not managing the resources well.
Another reason can be this: (It happened with us over a month back). When too many long queries were being executed at once. We did some optimizations on procedure side and things started working (By disabling read locks).
