HBase not starting in standalone mode on Windows - java

I downloaded HBase 1.0.1 on my Windows machine and wasn't able to get it to start.
I got the following error message:
C:\Users\admin\Downloads\hbase-1.0.1>bin\start-hbase.cmd
Error: Could not find or load main class " "
ERROR: Could not determine the startup mode.
What's the problem here?

There's a problem in how it is forming the java arguments, specific to the memory options.
Work-around: Find the following line in hbase.cmd and REMOVE %HEAP_SETTINGS%.
set java_arguments=%HBASE_OPTS% -classpath "%CLASSPATH%" %CLASS% %hbase-command-arguments%

iTMSTransporter: "Could not find or load main class" when launched

I'm trying to notarize a DMG via "xcrun altool" in Terminal but it fails with the output below.
In fact it even running iTMSTransporter directly it crashes:
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/SharedFrameworks/ContentDeliveryServices.framework/Versions/A/itms/bin/iTMSTransporter
Error: Could not find or load main class 1.Library.Java.Extensions:.Library.Java.Extensions:.Network.Library.Java.Extensions:.System.Library.Java.Extensions:.usr.lib.java:.
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: 1.Library.Java.Extensions:.Library.Java.Extensions:.Network.Library.Java.Extensions:.System.Library.Java.Extensions:.usr.lib.java:.
What I have done to troublehshoot:
Updated to Xcode 12.3
Updated and installed latest commandline tools for Xcode
Tried two different SDK/JDK/JRE versions of Java, currently using java 15.0.1 2020-10-20
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 15.0.1+9-18)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 15.0.1+9-18, mixed mode, sharing)
Tried declaring JAVA_HOME
Looked for iTMSTransporter cache file or folder (in case sensitive and lowercase) in /, ~/ and /Library and ~/Library ~/.itmstransporter in order ot delete it, there is none.
I'm on macOS Big Sur 11.1
I have never had two name versions of Xcode, so I have not had a different name for the app. I tried renaming it for troubleshooting and reverting back to original Xcode name but this also did not help.
Tried reinstalling iTMSTransporter

Issue was fixed after commenting out the line starting with:

It seems the way this line was setting the java related paths to iTMSTransporter was causing it to look in wrong places.
After commenting out this line iTMSTransporter reconfigured itself during launch and notarization submission was successful.

Weblogic 12.2.1.3 Error: Could not find or load main class com.oracle.cie.wizard.WizardController

I was trying to configure Weblogic 12.2.1.3 on Linux account.
After going through oracle documentation, I understood we setup Weblogic by running config.sh script located in /opt/weblogic12213/wlserver_12.2.1.3/installation/oracle_common/common/bin folder.
But this script is giving error as :
Error: Could not find or load main class
com.oracle.cie.wizard.WizardController
Below is the last command which it executes in setup script and it is giving an error :
/usr/java/jdk1.8.0_192/bin/java -Dpython.cachedir=/tmp/cachedir
-Xms32m -Xmx1024m -Dweblogic.alternateTypesDirectory=/opt/weblogic12213/wlserver_12.2.1.3/installation/wlserver/../oracle_common/modules/oracle.oamprovider,/opt/weblogic12213/wlserver_12.2.1.3/installation/wlserver/../oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps
com.oracle.cie.wizard.WizardController -target=config-oneclick
scripts provided by weblogic doesn't set CLASSPATH correctly.
com.oracle.cie.wizard.WizardController comes under com.oracle.cie.wizard_7.8.2.0.jar .
Steps done.
1. Copied config_internal.sh script on some local path. (Because I didn't have the root permission.)
2. Appended this jar in CLASSPATH varibale like this :
CLASSPATH="${FMWCONFIG_CLASSPATH}${CLASSPATHSEP}${DERBY_CLASSPATH}:/opt/weblogic12213/wlserver_12.2.1.3/installation/oracle_common/modules/com.oracle.cie.wizard_7.8.2.0.jar"

Elasticsearch: Could not find or load main class org.elasticsearch.tools.launchers.JavaVersionChecker

I'm using CentOS and have downloaded Elasticsearch 6.2.1. I created a new user "elastic" and when I run ./bin/elasticsearch I get the error:
Could not find or load main class org.elasticsearch.tools.launchers.JavaVersionChecker
I tried placing this user in an admin group ("wheel"), and the same problem occurs. If I try it with "sudo ./bin/elasticsearch" I get:

I searched a bit and saw that it this error can be due to the java version, but it seems to be up to date:
[elastic#sandbox-hdp elasticsearch-6.1.1]$ sudo update-alternatives --config java
There are 3 programs which provide 'java'.
Selection Command
1 /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.7.0-openjdk.x86_64/bin/java
*+ 2 /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.8.0-openjdk.x86_64/bin/java
3 /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.5.0-gcj/bin/java
This also happens if I try Elasticsearch 6.1
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
In case you still have this problem... or just for curiosity... take a look at the file ./bin/elasticsearch-env.sh, around the line 70, look for the command:
"$JAVA" -cp "$ES_CLASSPATH" org.elasticsearch.tools.launchers.JavaVersionChecker
Check if it is correctly "spelled" for your environment, write this command just before it and see what you've got:
echo "$JAVA" -cp "$ES_CLASSPATH" org.elasticsearch.tools.launchers.JavaVersionChecker
in my case... I was running in a Git Bash inside a Windows machine, and the command was pointing to:
/c/Users/Ualter/Developer/ELKStack/elasticsearch-6.2.2/lib/*
Changing to:
/Users/Ualter/Developer/ELKStack/elasticsearch-6.2.2/lib/*
As I was running on a Windows S.O. it get up and running OK the Elasticsearch.
I was trying hard to use elasticsearch 6.7.1 on Windows.
I had this exact error when running bin/elasticsearch.bat .
Long story short, there was probably an issue with my java version and elastic search, it couldn't run the jars (using Java 8 211).
I installed the last ElasticSearch 6.x from here :
https://www.elastic.co/downloads/past-releases#elasticsearch
And unset the existing ES_HOME and ES_CLASSPATH environment variables that I created, and all went well.
I also encounter such strange question, the first time it raises exception for running elastic as root, after I add a new user elastic and run it as elastic , I see this exception "Could not find or load main class org.elasticsearch.tools.launchers.JavaVersionChecker
".
I solved this problem by moving the program dirs to the non /root/ dirs, for example, I put it to /opt/elk/, and it works.
So I guess elastic may not allow to run as root for security , thus we can not put the program in the root user's dir. Hope it can make some tips for you.
I'm installing elasticsearch plugin es-sql on windows.
In my case, run the cmd as administrator role.
Seems like you don't have right permissions. Try to set them to 774 (rwxrwxr--) and check again:
sudo chmod 774 -R elasticsearch-6.3.2/

hbase connection with java client

I have a java program ( eclipse , Maven , windows7) to fill Hbase which exist on a VirtualBox from a service,

Could any of you help me with this?
Some more information like the following may be helpful. Run these commands in the virtualbox where you have the "hbase" command
hbase zkCli -server sandbox:2181
Once you connect, you can run, in the zkcli prompt:
ls /
Please paste the output of the above command. The baseZnode of "/hbase-unsecure " does not seem to exist. In general the base znode is "/hbase".
Kindly cross check the classpath of your running program by the java code, as suggested by #RamPrasadG
System.out.println(System.getProperty("java.classpath"))

Playscape Publishing Kit failing with Error unknown during apply patch process

Running Unity 4.5.4f1 and Playscape SDK version 1.14, building for android target, I am getting an Error unknown during the apply patch process in Unity. When running the executed command in CMD, I get the following error:

I have checked the folder structure inside the project and dex2jar seems to be present. We did not see this issue before updating.
How can I resolve this?
I found it myself. This is most likely due to a spelling error in AndroidApkCreator.cs, row 39, where "lib/asmin-p2.5.jar" instead should read "lib/jasmin-p2.5.jar", judging by the file name inside the lib folder. This does not seem to completely remove the issue, however, as the CMD prompt still throws the following Error:
Could not find or load main class com.googlecode.dex2jar.tools.Dex2JarCmd
