The exception shows that Openfire Server is unable to communicate with the database. You need to make sure that the database is up and running.

Make sure your database is running and TCP port should be enabled
Go to control panel then go to security and check TCP inbound and outbound rule for database if you're using SQL server then port number is 1433 if rule is not define then define rule for it and it'll work fine for you

Configure eureka server port

I have the following:
1. Tomcat server running #port 9080
2. eureka.war (1.6.2-SNAPSHOT) deployed in the tomcat
Is there a way that I can configure the eureka-client (fired by eureka-server itself) to be exposed at a different port (say:- 7001) than Tomcat Http Connector port (here 9080)?
Any such customization for eureka.port throws the following error repeatedly; which in a normal startup with same port as tomcat server port; goes away after 1st occurence:

It might not be possible with same instance (see here) or without some Custom Connector setup . eureka deployed in tomcat (here) is a war and it makes sense to be exposed at the same Server connector port, where it is deployed. eureka-client is a jar which is a part of eureka.war probably can't listen to anywhere else.

Error getting response; java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

Unable to connect to SQL Server 2008 R2 using java connection string

I am not able to connect with SQL server 2008 R2 using java. The same code is working with SQL server 2005.
I have tried to find out the port and ip for the sqlserver service and it is giving me
ip - 0.0.0.0 and port 1434
I tried to use the same connection string that works in SQL Server 2005, but it won't work for me in SQL Server 2008. Here is my connection string:
conn=DriverManager.getConnection(jdbc:sqlserver://127.0.0.1:1434:DatabaseNameconnect?autoReconnect=true,user, password);
This is the Error:

Any help ?
There are many possibilities for your problem:
Firewall
No TCP/IP connector
some services are not running
Try to connect with the SQL-management Studio to you database. If this works, try to connect with SQL-Authentification over TCP/IP.
update
Take a look at the Documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-en/library/ms143693(v=sql.90).aspx
One obvious problem is that SQL Server listens on port 1433, not 1434. I've already answered this question elsewhere, but I can't be sure if it's an exact match for your problem because you haven't told us what error message you get.

java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

I have a server running Apache FTPServer. The FTP server is functioning well until recently some upload from the client started to fail with this error that is attached. I have increased the MaxIdleTimeout but is still encountering this error. Anybody has any idea to what actually generated this error?

It looks like what the error says, the server closed your connection. Typically this is as a result of inactivity on your end. If you don't keep talking to the server it will close your connection. If the connections idle you need to send a stream of NOOP commands to it to let it know your still there.
