GWT Maps API V3 Core API - java

I'm trying to use the GWT Maps API V3 in a Spring Boot project.
I added it in gradle with no issue and wrote my code but when running, it crashes showing the following:

Any idea how to use it with spring?

From this blog, try coping commons-logging.jar file to WEB-INF/lib folder. You must also have packaged the servlet-api.jar along with the other libraries in your war file. You can verify this by opening up your war file and navigating to the WEB-INF/lib folder.
Based from this post, you should not provide the servlet-api jar. The container, in your case Tomcat, is responsible for providing it at deploy time to your application. If you try to provide it as well, then issues arise due to version mismatch etc. Best practise is to just avoid packaging it. Remove it from the WEB-INF/lib.
Also according to this thread:
Your webapp has servletcontainer specific libraries like servlet-api.jar file in its /WEB-INF/lib. This is not right. Remove them all. The /WEB-INF/lib should contain only the libraries specific to the webapp, not to the servletcontainer. The servletcontainer (like Tomcat) is the one who should already provide the servletcontainer specific libraries. If you supply libraries from an arbitrary servletcontainer of a different make/version, you'll run into this kind of problems because your webapp wouldn't be able to run on a servletcontainer of a different make/version than where those libraries are originated from.

I've tried removing dependencies I suspected to be using Log4j.
As a general advice, use a tool to manage your project's dependencies such as Gradle or Maven. These tools are capable of analyzing not only classpath dependencies but also runtime dependencies. That way, you can just see what the dependencies are - rather than suspecting.

I found that tomcat may not contain dbcp-jar, so I tried to add it via gradle:
compile 'org.apache.tomcat:tomcat-jdbc:7.0.59' but nothing changed
Can anyone explain me how it should be done?

and what's in my WEB-INF/lib
Help!
add below dependency into your pom.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>org.json</groupId>
<artifactId>json</artifactId>
<version>20160212</version>
</dependency>
If you are not using maven then you have to download and add this java-json.jar to your build path
NoClassDefFoundError: org/json/JSONException means it can't find the class JSONException at runtime. Either you add it as a dependency in your pom.xml, add it to your build-path or you add the JAR to your Tomcat Lib folder.
Either way, you'll have to get the JAR containing the JSONException. Which can be found here.
I tried all the means,they all not work until I reinstall tomacat....

Tomcat can't start the app because it can't find JSONRPC2ParseException class

What's happening here? How can I fix it to make it work?
This is usually the jar files are not available for Tomcat.
The best way to solve this is place the json-rpc-2.0 jar files into your Tomcat's lib folder
Update
As specified by A4L user , you can also put the jar in your web applications WEB-INF/lib as well.

Jersey JAX-RS and AWS SDK: Tomcat won't start

I'm working on a java web application that utilizes the Jersey JAX-RS implementation for building RESTful Services. All has been well until I added the Amazon Web Services jars to my WEB-INF/lib folder. I'd like to store some data in Amazon S3, but it seems the AWS SDK and Jersey don't play nicely together. With both sets of jars in my lib folder Tomcat won't start. If I remove the jersey-servlet.jar, Tomcat starts, but of course leaves my services broken. I'm using Jersey v1.2 and AWS SDK 1.3.20.
Has anybody else seen this same behavior?
Thanks

Was able to resolve this. Turns out it was as simple as allocating more space to the JVM.
