I'm going to build an Application with Alarm feature to remind the patients to take medicine on time.
But current issue is the alarm manager didn't trigger on the XiaoMi phone, and it work on the samsung note 4 in Android 6.0. And before implement the code to my project, I had create a new project and using the same code to test it. In the new project the code work perfectly as long as the Autostart permission has grant. The alarm will trigger on time, and even restart the phone, the boot receiver will also work recreate the alarm, but it only didn't work on my application.

However after reboot it wont automatically hit.
I try to start a ForegroundService by an BroadcastReceiver on Boot. I have tried this on a device with Android 8 and on an emulated Android 10 device. Both work fine. The problem is, that this code does not work on my Android 10 Galaxy S9. I have debugged everything, my BroadcastReceiver and the OnStartCommand method but also if the BroadcastReceiver runs the code fine, the OnStartCommand method does not start running.
I have a mainActivity in which the user has to apply this Process so the app gets opened once before the BroadcastReceiver should work.
I tried almost every solution i found here but nothing worked for me.
I don't understand why this is working on some devices but not on each. I hope someone can help me!

I have an application that starts an Intent after the boot that works from Android 6 to Android 9 API level 28.
But this code does not work on Android 10 API level 29, Broadcast simply does not receive any events and does not run onReceive on MyClassBroadcastReceiver after the boot. Is there any extra permission on Android 10 or configuration that needs to be done?

The easiest solution I came up with was simply adding

Both options work. The only downside I see is that it takes rather a while for app to load (can be up to 10 seconds from my testings)

The correct import for Settings is:android.provider
The first time the app boots the permission will be prompted for controlling which apps can draw on top of other apps, the next device will start the application will boot up using the typical broadcast receiver.

This is my first time trying to make an app that starts on boot and runs in the background, and I'm finding all the possible ways of doing it a little confusing. I need the app to do a quick check of a few things every half hour, and sleep in between, so I settled for using AlarmManager and setRepeating.
In this test I've set it up so a boot receiver sets the alarm, which should run a service every 60 seconds (actual app will be 30+ mins between running this). The service triggers a notification, but when I reboot the phone, the notification only shows up once. I clear it and never see it again.

The problem I had here was that the BackService class I was trying to trigger with the alarm, was extending from the Service class. It should have extended from the BroadcastReceiver class, as only BroadcastReceivers can be triggered by the externally sent alarms.
I'm trying to set up an alarm receiver right after booting. Therefore, i have an OnBootReceiver that should register the alarm. The onBootReceiver works and it gets called, but somehow it cannot find my AlarmReceiver class.

Shouldn't you use getBroadcast instead of getService when creating a pending intent ?
The whole receiver stuff ONLY works if you application is NOT installed on a SD card. Add this to your manifest file to do so:
android:installLocation="internalOnly"
