How to inject MockMvc in Spring Boot? - java

I am following this tutorial about integration test in Spring Boot: http://www.baeldung.com/spring-boot-testing
Well, but when I try to Inject MockMvc I always get:

Well, I can see that it can't find the DispatcherServlet, but I'm not sure why is this happening... The test seams to be correct.
Does anyone knows what I am missing?

MockMvc is, as its name suggests, a mocked-up stack of Spring's Web MVC infrastructure (with mocked requests, responses, and so on). Since you're using Jersey, you won't be able to use MockMvc for testing. With Boot, you may want to use #SpringBootTest to launch the container on a random port and use TestRestTemplate to make (real, local) HTTP requests for testing.

MockMvc with Springboot 2.2 giving 406

I am trying to create a sample project with Springboot 2.2 & MockMvc.
Test works when end point returns String. But on change of return type to Object (JSON), it fails with 406.

How to import org.springframework.web.servlet.function package in a Spring Boot project?

I have downloaded a Spring boot demo project with the latest Spring version (2.2.0 M1). However, I am not being able to find the package org.springframework.web.servlet.function in it. Can anyone please shed light on this?

I am not being able to find the org.springframework.web.servlet.function package. But, that is vitally important since I want to access the RouterFunction.

Maven: how to configure to use an artifact present locally (~/.m2/repository) before trying online?

Having two maven projects locally, namely Authentication and Commons,
I need to use Commons as a dependency in the Authentication's pom.xml,
which is correctly deployed in the local repository at ~/.m2/repository after running mvn clean install in the Commons root directory.
However I'm not getting how to stop it trying to download this local dependency from online, when I run maven clean install in the Authentication root directory.
Here the error I get:

Isn't it possible to config the pom to first look at the local repository, then to go search it online?

Look at your coordinates. In authentication, you depend on io.project.commons:project-commons:

Can't connect to PostgreSQL with Spring Boot 1.5.x

I tried to create an empty spring boot 1.5 application with PostgreSQL 9.4 and 9.6 and i got this exception. BUT it works fine when i use Spring Boot 2.0.x ?!
Why is it telling me my password is incorrect ? It works fine when i connect on pgadmin 3 or 4.

How to add a user to an embedded tomcat in a spring boot application?

I am trying to create a spring boot application, everything runs fine except when I have to insert the username and password when I access localhost:8080. I don't know how to add a new tomcat user to the embedded tomcat from my app.

How can I disable the login from application.properties if possible or what solution is for this problem ? Many thanks in advance !

You have Spring Security as a dependency.

If Spring security is on the classpath and no security config is made in your application, Spring will configure basic authentication. This is a fail safe. You can find the generated username and password in your console.
You have two options:
If you don't want a login system, remove the spring security dependency
If you do want security, you need to configure spring security so that spring knows what authentication mechanism is used (basic, form, oauth, etc.) and how to authenticate users.

You can refer below link to configure Embedded tomcat through application.properties file only. You can also use external tomcat where you can give tomcat-users.xml as before.

You need to read up more on how the default Spring Security Filter Chain works - you don't need Tomcat users (like is you wanted to access the Tomcat Manager app) - you need to allow Anonymous Auth, or some other form of Autnetication otherwise it will deny any request to the service.

In spring boot 2.x, you can use the default security settings (default user and password printed to the console), or can implement your own UserDetailsService, as described in spring-boot documentation here and here;
