How to read operational attributes from ldap server - java

I have to read operational attributes from the LDAP server (createTimeStamp, entryUUID etc).
I have tried to implement own UserDetailContextMapper but without success.
At the moment my code looks like this

I've tried Attributes attributes = ctx.getAttributes(username, new String[] {"*", "+"});
in mapUserFromContext() method, but I'm receiving NamingException if i pass username.
I was thinking about implementing ldapTemplate.lookup(), but I'm not really sure where to implement it, I've tried to do userRepo class with ldapTemplate, but I got NameNotFoundException with any DN I pass.

I can retrieve object from LDAP using query like that:

but I need to pass full attribute value, which is not the point since i want to retrieve this value, not the object with this value.

ctx.getAttributes(username, new String[] {"*", "+"});
username - according to the documentation, this should be the DN
That's how LDAP knows which record you're pulling data from
The second parameter, if you set it to null, it will retrieve all attributes
I believe your error is thrown because you're passing in a username instead of a distinguished name.

I created a new jks file based on the meta data file and cert file I downloaded form the Azure portal using the following:

And updated the passwords and file names in the above code.

Why is this happening (same method throwing an exception when called from RestController but works when called from SpringBootTest)?

After a lot of debugging I found that
SecurityContextHolder.getContext().getAuthentication();
is returning null from inside
AuthenticationTokenProviderChain#obtainAccessToken(OAuth2ProtectedResourceDetails resource, AccessTokenRequest request)
method when executing from #SpringBootTest whereas it is returning an object with some data when executing from #RestController.
So now the question is, is the OAuth2RestTemplate I created dependent on the authentication I set up for my application? If yes, how can I make the OAuth2RestTemplate independent of my application's security config, because it doesn't make sense for me to apply the same security policies while calling a third party API.

Long Answer
Like I mentioned in the updates to the question. When I run the restTempalte.exchange() call from the #SpringBootTest class, the Authentication object returned inside the AccessTokenProviderChain is null whreas from the #RestController, it is the Authentication object for your #RestController method. And when I make the request to my #RestController if I dont provide any authentication (which is my case), the following implementation inside AccessTokenProviderChain throws the exception:

So when I add the ignoring() in the WebSecurity object like shown above, the Authentication object returns null just like when I ran it from the #SpringBootTest.
Now, this will actually solve the issue, but I am still surprised why the OAuth2RestTemplate is using the authentication configured on the application when the purpose of OAuth2RestTemplate is to call a completely different API.
May be someone could clarify that.

As per your question you are getting error with :
countRepo.findById(uniqId)
It means the countRepo returns no data for your your given id. Please be sure, if you have the Id in your database that your sending as uniqueId.
You can't directly print countRepo. countRepo returns null because it's an autowired instance of a Repository.
And for your countRepo.findById(uniqId).get();
use this instead:
countRepo.findById(uniqId).orElse(null);
Because whenever you try to find something in your Repository and the Id doesn't exist, It will throw a NullpointerException.
Make sure there is an entity with that ID. The findById() method is throwing an Exception.

By exposing a Principal instance (such as an instance of GenericPrincipal from Apache Tomcat) in your web API, you may ended up leaking some sensitive details you don't intent to.
A better approach would be creating a DTO and then mapping only the principal details you want to expose to this DTO.
Despite the security breaches, let me just clarify what may be wrong with the serialization itself.
If you create an instance of GenericPrincipal and then attempt to serialize it to JSON using ObjectMapper directly, you'll see it won't succeed:

The passwords are entered in a local postgres database as '{noop}test123' so I don't think there should be an issue with encoding/decoding. There is a similar set up on a udemy course I've been following and yet theirs works fine.
You haven't defined any AuthenticationManager / AuthenticationProvider here that connects to your Postgres DataSource.
