How to set an empty space as constant in Apache Camel? - java

I tried to set a String with an empty space as a constant in Camel.
from("timer:test?fixedRate=true&period=5000")
.setBody().constant(" ")
.log("'${body}'")
;
It seems not to work, because the above code prints '' as log output.
I'm using Camel Version 2.23.1 and figured out that the method constant in the Class ExpressionClauseSupport needs to set the Attribute trim to true when creating the ConstantExpression. See the creation of the Object and the trimming of the constant String.
In my opinion a constant should not be trimmed or am I wrong?

May be this ?

Any suggestions how to create Regex for this in java for String.replaceAll()?

My String is like this.

Since the key here is a variable value I am trying to replace this 692950841314120(or the values which I get from sever) with a constant like ID. My main goal is to parse this as POJO. I have tried using..

but due to Slashes I think i am not able to get the desired value. Is there any better way to do this. I know I can do below Code but I don't want any ID123 if I added extra value and distort any other info in JSON.

Strictly speaking, if you have a valid JSON string, you should parse it using something like GSON, rather than using regex. That being said, if you must use regex, you could try removing the starting and ending anchors:
string.replaceAll("[0-9]{15}", "ID")
Or maybe use double quotes instead:
string.replaceAll("\"[0-9]{15}\"", "ID")
It is safer to assume the value is inisde \" and \":.
You can then use
.replaceAll("(\\\\\")[0-9]{15}(\\\\\":)", "$1ID$2")
The regex is (\\")[0-9]{15}(\\":) and it means:
(\\") - match and capture \" substring into Group 1
[0-9]{15} - fifteen digits
(\\":) - Group 2: a \": substring.
The $1 and $2 are placeholders holding the Group 1 and 2 values.
You should use "A word boundary" \b.

JSON parser exception is observed for on fly JSON

I created a JSON file on the fly by using some runtime data and stored as string as like below:

Note: I just copied the exact json which i'm getting at runtime. It containse \n space and exactly like above.
I can see few JSONObjects like ticketDetails is having huge description and when I tried to parse the above string is leading to parse error.
I tried the below way to eliminate the parse error by using
String removeSpecialCharacterFromJson= jsonString.replaceAll("[^A-Za-z0-9]","")
System.out.println(removeSpecialCharacterFromJson);
Sample Output:
kindletrackingticketTICKET0900060Iimpactstatementimpactedduetoyear2020formathandlingissue....[space between characters are removed and It's hard to read the string]
The above code removed all the special characters from the string and It will be successfully parsed. But the description is not having the space and It very hard to read the content after the above changes done.
I tried to escape the \s in the regular expression which is giving the original String value which is leading to parse exception.
String removeSpecialCharacterFromJson= jsonString.replaceAll("[^A-Za-z0-9\\s]","")
Is there anyohter way to handle this ? I just want to the ticketDetails to be readable format and It should not have any special characters and \n lines.

s in regular expression is not for space but for the whitespace
I guess that you may have some additional non allowed whitespace in your JSON string
Take a look at The JSON spec (RFC 7159):
Insignificant whitespace is allowed before or after any of the six structural characters.
ws = *(
%x20 / ; Space
%x09 / ; Horizontal tab
%x0A / ; Line feed or New line
%x0D ) ; Carriage return
Verify your values and look for improper whitespaces

How to convert string to MarketDataIncrementalRefresh in QUICKFIX in Java?

I am working on the Stock and Exchange Markets. I have a situation like : I need to take a string from the log and convert it to "Message" type Object. As per this link I have tried using all the three methods of the "MessageUtils" class in JAVA. But my String is being stripped to a Message class type object with unique tags. But as my string is "MarketDataIncrementalRefresh" type I want each every tag to be present in the Message.
For example : I am providing the following string to "MessageUtils.parse()" method.

But what I am getting is this:

As you can observe only unique tags are present in the String. But I want each and every tag , no matter how many times it exists in the provided string.
Please can anyone help me doing this in JAVA. It will be really appreciable.

The other thread says:
MessageUtils.parse(MessageFactory messageFactory, DataDictionary dataDictionary, java.lang.String messageString)
And your code says:
Message msg = MessageUtils.parse(new DefaultMessageFactory(), null, str);
So you need to fix your data dictionary and pass it to the parse method instead of passing 'null'
I think the problem is as follows. There's a repeating group that starts with tag 286 (NoMDEntries). The order of fields in a repeating group should be strict, i.e. the same order as the definition of the repeating group. See Market Data - Snapshot/Full Refresh or the data dictionnary supplied by QuickFIX/J (FIX42.xml).
The 268 tag should be followed by 269 and then 270. I am seeing in your message string: |268=24|269=0|290=1|270=4290| which is the incorrect order of tags. That is probably the reason why the message is truncated by MessageUtils.parse.
As a test you could try to manually correct the order in the string and try parsing that to see if that gives the correct message.

Java Replace String with a variable text

I have a document with many string like this:
<rdf:type rdf:resource="http://example.com"/>
where http://example.com is not a constant value, it change every time.
The string must become:
<process:valueType rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#anyURI">http://example.com</process:valueType>
How can i do in java?
I solved in this way:
result = result.replaceAll("(<rdf:type rdf:resource=\"([^<]*)\"/>)", "<process:valueType rdf:datatype=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#anyURI\">$2</process:valueType>");
I would use lookbehind to find rdf:datatype and select everything other than " which is actually the end of the value, something like this:
(?<=datatype=\")[^\"]*
you can do that with lookahead to:
(?<=datatype=\").*(?=\")

Setting a character limit for a string using Java annotations

I'm trying to create a string with a character length restriction of 12 for my JBOSS Seam project. The string must either be 12 characters or blank. My length annotation is correct which is the following:
#Length(min = 12,max = 12)
However when I try to put a null value in there I get an InvalidStateException: validation fail error. Any ideas how to allow this?
Null value for String and empty String are not the same thing. You are passing a null value (not a String of length 0). Check this out:

Also, you should try out #Size(min=,max=).
Well I decided to not rely on the #Length annotation and instead created my own custom validator class to do the job and that worked out well. Thanks anyway!
