Could not load requested class : org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver - java

I'm struggling with creating connection with in-memory HSQLDB using Hibernate. It is simple log application. I did it in line with Hibernate doc and checked with other tutorials and still nothing.
I have propper dependency in my pom.xml and stilit doesn't work.

As I can check from the first log and after some debugging on HibernateUtils, I saw that sessionFactory remains null after the lookup.
The method of HibernateUtils:
private static void sessionFactoryInit() {
getLog().info("Starting initial sessionFactory creation.");
try {
Context ctx = new InitialContext();
logInitialContextJNDI(ctx);
sessionFactory = (SessionFactory)ctx.lookup("PSessionFactory");
if(sessionFactory == null){
throw new ExceptionInInitializerError("SessionFactory is null");
}
getLog().info("Initial SessionFactory creation succedded.");
}
catch (Throwable ex) {
// Make sure you log the exception, as it might be swallowed
getLog().error("Initial SessionFactory creation failed." + ex);
throw new ExceptionInInitializerError(ex);
}
}
Am I missing something on the configuration of the server?
Thanks in advance.

Hibernate/SQL Server: Unable to create requested service [org.hibernate.engine.jdbc.env.spi.JdbcEnvironment]

I've tried figuring out on how to configure hibernate with java project.
I'm using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2017 (connected to it locally). When I log-in in SQL Server I did not enter any password. That's why I'm assuming that I do not need to add password in my hibernate.cfg.xml.
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
I have added this jars:
Jars
Main class:
public class HibernateTest {
public static void main(String[] args) {
UserDetails userDetails = new UserDetails();
userDetails.setUserId(1L);
userDetails.setUserName("Test");
SessionFactory sessionFactory = new
Configuration().configure().buildSessionFactory();
Session session = sessionFactory.openSession();
session.beginTransaction();
session.save(userDetails);
session.getTransaction().commit();
}
UserDetails.java
package org.test.dto;
import javax.persistence.Entity;
import javax.persistence.Id;
#Entity
public class UserDetails {
#Id
private Long userId;
private String userName;
public Long getUserId() {
return userId;
}
public void setUserId(Long userId) {
this.userId = userId;
}
public String getUserName() {
return userName;
}
public void setUserName(String userName) {
this.userName = userName;

You need to create a bean class and then only you can use spring annotation else you cant achieve it, one go through the spring documentation,
you can use this link for basic setup "https://www.journaldev.com/3524/spring-hibernate-integration-example-tutorial"

Add in your library path MySQL Connector JDBC driver for MySQL (JAR)
Link [ https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j ]
You are not .configuring() the Configuration object with the hibernate.cfg.xml
so it's not picking up those properties.
Configuration configuration = new Configuration();
configuration.configure("hibernate.cfg.xml"); //Resource path or File
Your hibernate config file is using wrong parameter names. Correct param names are as below:
hibernate.connection.driver_class
hibernate.connection.url
hibernate.connection.username
hibernate.connection.password
hibernate.dialect
hibernate.show_sql
Correct your param names and try again.
Refer this link for detailed list of param names: http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/core/3.3/reference/en/html/session-configuration.html

Hibernate database driver class not found

I am not very experienced with Hibernate yet and hava a problem when trying to create test data for my local database with Hibernate 4.3 and PostgreSQL.
I had another project where I did this exactly the same way and there it worked, so I did exactly the same setup but with another database, but now in my current project I get the following exception:
exception.DBException: Could not configure Hibernate!

I searched for possible solutions, but none of them worked for me:
-)Specify Classpath to jar in Manifest.mf -> Did not work
-)Place the postgresql-9.4.1208.jre6.jar in lib folder under WEB-INF -> Did not work
-)Specify hibernate.cfg.xml file in Configuration().configure(); -> Did not work
I use Glassfish 4.1 and the org.postgres.Driver.class is existing, so why is it not found?
My hibernate.cfg.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE hibernate-configuration PUBLIC "-//Hibernate/Hibernate Configuration DTD 3.0//EN" "http://www.hibernate.org/dtd/hibernate-configuration-3.0.dtd">
<hibernate-configuration>
<session-factory>
<property name="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect</property>
<property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class">org.postgresql.Driver</property>
<property name="hibernate.connection.url">jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/Testdb</property>
<property name="hibernate.connection.username">username</property>
<property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">create-drop</property>
<property name="hibernate.connection.password">password</property>
<mapping class="entity.Benutzer"/>
</session-factory>
</hibernate-configuration>
Method in BenutzerDAO.java where the exception occurs:
try {
if (sessionFactory == null) {
Configuration conf = new Configuration().configure();
StandardServiceRegistryBuilder builder
= new StandardServiceRegistryBuilder();
builder.applySettings(conf.getProperties());
sessionFactory = conf.buildSessionFactory(builder.build());
}
} catch (Throwable ex) {
throw new DBException("Could not configure Hibernate!", ex);
}
I would be very thankful for every answer.
try
{
Configuration cfg =new Configuration();
cfg.configure("hibernate.cfg.xml");
SessionFactory sf=cfg.buildSessionFactory();
Session sess=sf.openSession();
----------------------------------
your code
------------------------------
Transaction tx=sess.beginTransaction();
sess.save(e);
tx.commit();
sess.flush();
sess.close();
sf.close();
}
catch(Exception e)
{
System.out.println("e="+e.getMessage());
}

java.sql.SQLException: invalid arguments in call

I am learning to integrate hibernate with spring to connect to Oracle 11g using the below code. But stuck with the same error from few days. Please help me resolve this. i have tried the different solutions mentioned in other answers given for questions with the same error, but no luck.
Any relevant solutions welcome.
Thanks,
Nisha

As It is mentioned in the Stacktrace it is unable to get the connection.
invalid arguments in call
Exception in thread "main" org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: Unable to acquire JDBC Connection
In datasource driver name should be like below
<value>oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver</value>
In procedure if we give incorrect type mapping from java type to oracle data type then we will get
org.springframework.jdbc.UncategorizedSQLException: CallableStatementCallback; uncategorized SQLException for proc SQL state [99999]; error code [17068]; Invalid argument(s) in call; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: Invalid argument(s) in call
To fix this we need to map respective data type.
Instead
PersonDao personDao = context.getBean(PersonDao.class);
Try with
PersonDao personDao = (PersonDao) context.getBean("personDao");
So your Bean Id in spring.xml
Solved this, at last, by adding just the jars in lib/required folder of Hibernate zip file. Till then i had added all the jars in the lib folder.
