The project is a maven project and it works fine. I have issue while executing the test case.From the excepetion I have got, it looks likes there is an issue in loading the entityManagerFactory bean, in the spring-jpa.xml. Below is the Spring-jpa.xml file that is being used.

It looks to me like you jndi name can not be found as a database connection

I am doing an example how to integrate struts2 and spring. I used spring jdbc template.

You've got the wrong driver name here:
jdbc.driverClassName=com.mysql.jdbcDriver
It should be:
jdbc.driverClassName=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
Note the . between jdbc and Driver.
The way to diagnose similar things is to look at the class that it couldn't find:
Cannot load JDBC driver class 'com.mysql.jdbcDriver'
That already looks suspicious as the name jdbcDriver doesn't follow Java naming conventions. So at that point you then double-check what it should really be - e.g. by looking in the jar file - and fix the configuration.
As noted in comments, I don't think it's a good idea to have multiple versions of the same jar file on the classpath though - I can't see that ending well.

I had this issue and it turned out to be that my .properties file had a pair of "\t\t" at the end of the driverClassName value. But when the error would print out it didn't show the tabs. I eventually found this as I walked through a lengthy debugging trek.
So if someone finds this on SO and you've got the above problem, check your .prop file, make sure there's nothing odd at the end of the values.

You are trying to use AnnotationConfigWebApplicationContext which is intended to be used with #Configuration and not xml based config files. Try switching to XmlWebApplicationContext instead and set

You need to specify your using annotation configuration and component scan for the beans.

Where package.with.beans.** is the package that contains the bean you are trying to inject the LdapTemplate. You can only inject beans into other beans, since they must be managed by the dependency injection container. So the class your trying to perform the injection in must be a bean and if that bean is established using an annotation, you must tell Spring to component scan to find that bean.
For example:

Spring Async doesn't work

We have an application written in spring 3.0. I noticed that the #Async does not work. I searched around and noticed that I need to add
<task:annotation-driven executor="myExecutor" scheduler="myScheduler"/>

<task:scheduler id="myScheduler" pool-size="10"/>
But when I do that I get an exception.

For #Async to work (I'm assuming annotation-based config), you need to do 2 things:
<task:annotation-driven/> in your config
Public method annotated with #Async
...and that's about it.
Your exception doesn't indicate that #Async doesn't work. It indicates that there is an autowiring issue with field HomepageSrvImpl.

This is and old question but since it does not have and accepted answer so far, here we go.
The essence of the problem is how the #Async mechanism works.
The hint for what is happening is this part of the stacktrace, specifically what is marked with bold:

package.mvc.controller.browser.LocationBrowserController.homepageSrvImpl
to $Proxy24
What is happening is that, in order to be able to intercept the invocation of the method marked with #Async, Spring needs to create a Proxy for it.
As pointed out by user "El Guapo" in another answer, you are probably declaring the type of the autowired attribute, not by using an interface, but using the actual implementation. (note that the error in the stackTrace does not specifically point to the object being proxied, but to the object that needs to have it autowired as an attribute, but it still points your troubleshooting in the right direction).
This works OK until you start using the #Async annotation, because that forces sprint to create the proxy and failing to autowire it.
I haven't tested it, but I'm assuming this would happen with any other aspects Spring needs to interlace your code with (for example #Transactional).

I had this same problem... I have a bunch of difference "IMPLS" that implement an Interface that I am trying to autowire, the problem was that I was autowiring the implementation and not the interface... as soon as I started autowiring the interface (with a #Qaulifier) everything works A-OK!!!!

This section from stack trace indicates what the error is. The field homepageSrvImpl should be of the interface type not the concrete class. If you can't figure out add the definition of
LocationBrowserController and HomepageSrvImpl - just the class & autowired sections.
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Can not set
package.srv.homepage.impl.HomepageSrvImpl field
package.mvc.controller.browser.LocationBrowserController.homepageSrvImpl to $Proxy24

I also head the same problem.
Adding the attribute proxy-target-class="true" to <task:annotation-driven/> fixed it for me. My definition looks like that now:
<task:annotation-driven
executor="myExecuter" scheduler="myScheduler" proxy-target-class="true"/>
That solved the problem in my case (using Spring 3.1.1).
