looking for all in one free open source exe solution (for java ) that can be used to create an all-in-one EXE from one or more jars?
Edit:
An "all-in-one EXE" is an executable that does not require a JVM to run.

Check out the following
Winrun4J: http://winrun4j.sourceforge.net/
Launch4J: http://launch4j.sourceforge.net/

According to the project page, the GNU Compiler for Java enables the creation of native machine code.

You can try jsmooth.sourceforge.net

I couldn't find any public data about the number of hosted project in Maven. I'm particularly interested in Java programming language and open source projects.
Is there any official statistics?
Maven Central's site has some stats, like that it contains over 100,000 unique artifacts, but it doesn't break it down by language or license.

I hava to referenced something of tools.jar which is a part of jdk lib.
and I want to get its help documentation and java source code.
Please tell me how to get it or where to download.
Thank you very much!
you cant get the source or javadocs for the sun/oracle tools.jar, since that code is not released, but you can go look at the openjdk project's tools, located here - http://openjdk.java.net/tools/index.html
it wont be the same thing, but it'll be close.

I'm writing an IDE in Java and I'm looking for a library that will highlight the code for me. I've found plenty for javascript, but that wont do me any good. I'd love to write my own but I don't have the foggiest idea where to start. Are there any Java libraries out there?
Take a look at jsyntaxpane; it may be the easiest starting point rather than starting from scratch.
I've used this library and it does the job pretty well: RSyntaxTextArea

is there an automatic documentation tool for eclipse? (Like the Ghost Doc Tool)
I'm working in Java and i want a reccomended tool.
thanks
Found a nice tool http://jautodoc.sourceforge.net/
It's built-in.
Just type /** [enter] above a method and it will autocomplete the javadoc.
Then just use the javadoc tool to generate the html documentation.
Obviously, all useful docs have to be written by hand.
Another shortcut to generate Java document is (ALT+SHIFT+J) on selecting any method or class or variable etc in your eclipse IDE.

Is there an application like Ingredients which lets your browse the Coco API but for Java on OS X?
Local:
Since you are using OSX if you have the Javadoc downloaded and expanded locally you can use Spotlight.
Online:
Here is a neat trick if you use FireFox.
Your best bet would probably be to just browse the default javadoc-based HTML pages.
http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/
I found an application called Dash which I have been using it for years now. It is available in the Mac App Store (MAS) here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dash-docs-snippets/id458034879?mt=12
