Validation Error while deploying war file in Weblogic

I got the following error while deploying war file in weblogic
Message icon - Error VALIDATION PROBLEMS WERE FOUND <5:4> problem: cvc->complex-type.2.3: Element 'web-app#http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee' with element-only content type cannot have text content. <14:5> problem: cvc-complex-type.2.4a: Expected element 'url-pattern#http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee' instead of 'load-on-startup#http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee' here in element servlet-mapping#http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee <18:5> problem: cvc-complex-type.2.4b: Element not allowed: listener-class#http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee in element listener#http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee

Blank page returned when the server throw 404 error in Spring mvc

I'm trying to configure a custom page for 404 error in spring. My application also has spring security configured.
This is the configuration in web.xml

<location>/404.jsp</location>
</error-page>
404.jsp is accessing by browser through the correct url. But when there's a 404 error thrown 404.jsp doesnt get displayed. instead a blank page is shown.
Any pointers on how i can fix this issue ? Thanks in advance.

Spring Security - No bean named 'springSecurityFilterChain' is defined

The following configuration gives me No bean named 'springSecurityFilterChain' is definederror.My question is why this happening and not how I can resolve this. I am able to resolve this successfully using org.springframework.web.context.support.AnnotationConfigWebApplicationContext

Why is your applicationContext is in the classes? Move it to the WEB-INF directory, as it is told in the comment. That should fix the problem.
The /classes directory is for the compiled classes, but not for the configuration files.

Try adding a / in /WEB-INF/classes/applicationContext.xml
If it still doesn't work, try adding this instead in your web.xml (before the servlet declaration)

You might need a / before applicationContext.xml, but I don't think so.

May be you need to do undeploy. and deploy it. it will work . .

IOException parsing XML document from ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/classes/spring application config.xml];

WEB-INF/classes/applicationContext.xml for this requirement, you have to put applicationContext.xml in class path i.e.
If you are using maven then put it in src/main/resources folder, otherwise put in the src folder.
Then you will find it inside WEB-INF/classes

Spring MVC multiple servlets (Jersey,Dispatcher) problem

I have one DispatcherServlet for my pages, and one ServletContainer for my Jersey webservice. As it is now, no pages are rendering (404), but the service is working fine. How can I run them in conjunction?
I saw this thread How to register multiple servlets in web.xml in one Spring application that seems to deal with a similar issue, though that was regarding CXF so I'm unsure how relevant it is.
I also tried having a separate Jersey-servlet.xml file, but that made both the pages and the service stop working. Don't really know where to go from this point, any help much appreciated.

The question you linked is relevant to your scenario.
You can also try using <mvc-default-servlet-handler />. It is not meant exactly for this purpose, though. (it's meant for static resources).
