tomcat 404 error with spring-mvc application

Hello I am trying to set up a Java - Spring Application. However no matter what I try, the homepage never shows up. I only can see 404 error. I tried diffrent things, I read related issues but found no solution. When I type http://localhost:8080/spring/list on my browser I see a tomcat 7.0.47 error page

how to move config xml files from WEB-INF to resources in java spring?

But i want create file hibernate-config.xml: in resources directory. But But I do not understand how to do it.

Move the hibernate-config.xml file to resources directory and in web.xml change the param-value from
<param-value>/WEB-INF/hibernate-config.xml</param-value>
to
<param-value>classpath:hibernate-config.xml</param-value>

Exception from server reads:
Could not load JDBC driver class [com.mysql.jdbc.Driver]
So add the mysql.jar inside \WebContent\WEB-INF\lib.

Spring XML is not loaded, SEVERE Error : Listener Start?

It was working fine before I have added "transaction-manager" name space. Did I miss any thing in my code, I am not able to home page, It says that SEVERE Error : Listener Start

I did not get any error, but my .war file is loaded. Did I miss anything in my xml ? Any suggestions why my application has not loaded ?

Spring MVC internationalization not working

I'm tring to make my webapp display different labels according to the user's language of choice, but I can't seem to make it work properly. It does read the messages_en.properties and messages_de.properties files whenever I change the "defaultLocale" in the servlet xml file. ...?lang=en and ...?lang=de are not working at all though.

You are incorrectly defining MVC handling in your root context (<context:component-scan> on controllers and <mvc:annotation-driven> inside application-context.xml). Move that to the servlet context (SpringTest3-sevlet.xml) and initialize locale interceptor via :

Also drop your unnecessary handler mapping definition (ControllerClassNameHandlerMapping).
