I'm creating a servlet-based application using Tomcat.
Besides that i've some classes to acces a DB with jdbc. (present in a other folder/package)
I was asking myself how to integrate them cleanly in my servlet-based application.
What's the "cleanest" solution ?
thx

I would go with packaging as a separate JAR file and placing in WEB-INF/lib of your web app.
While it may seem easier to just put JAR to the common libraries folder so that several web apps start using it - it will result in not being able to upgrade the JAR without restarting the whole server. Also you will need to make sure that the new JAR is working fine with all of the apps. Classpath issues are possible with this approach too.

Package them in jar files and then add files to you're project.

I have created a library to use some utilities I need in multiple projects. So lets say I'm building a new version of the library and overwrite the old one, do my other project automatically update the library to the newer version when I reload my project? (Or when I build it)
You should not be referencing external libraries by relative path unless you have a good reason for it, exactly for reasons like these. Ideally you want to use a build automation tool which will handle this, for example Maven, Gradle or Ant, so that the dependencies are included on compile and are a part of your JAR or whatever you are building your project into.

I am new to spring boot and for build tool i am using Maven .
I wanted to know that how does spring boot application runs after maven build process finishes like
What is the output of the build ?
How build is executed ?
Although much of the detail about the build and run process is abstracted away by IDE (like IntelliJ) but i am curious to know about what happens internally ?
The spring-boot-maven-plugin Maven Plugin can generate an executable JAR which includes all dependency JARs and start-up, classloader code in addition to you application code.

I'm trying to use VS Code to write Java programs which are built Bazel. Most of vs code extensions don't know about Bazel. Therefore code complete works only for the .java files understand the same folder.
I came up.with this idea of generating Eclipse's .project and .classpath out of Bazel java_* targets. I manually created these files and code completion worked perfectly.
So now the question boils down to: how can I automatically generate .project and .classpath files in the same diretore of BUILD file?
Sounds like they already decided not support it: https://github.com/bazelbuild/bazel/issues/3376

I want to use angular 4 with java as backend. What I need is a single war file.I dont want to run different server for front end and back end. I want that there will be single java war file so that I can deploy it on app server like tomcat or jboss.
Please suggest some approach. Your help is highly appreciated.
HI I have done this in my project and what can you do that when you take a build of your Angular2 application then after the build copy all the content from the build/install folder and paste it in your Java Work space as a static content inside WebContent folder.
Makesure that you correctly configured the url of the backend service in your angular code.
After that try to clean the tomcat server and then restart it.
I hope it will work.

I am new to Jenkins, I configured Jenkins with my CVS and I am stuck, after building the project using Jenkins I need it to be deployed automatically into the server so I can access the project.
This can be achieved by adding a "post-build" action in Jenkins, action of type can be "Deploy war/ear to a container" - that let's you define your configuration. Your question is too broad. I would suggest you read up on jenkin configurations or at least tinker with it.
