We have a web service implemented with CXF and runs on JBoss 5.1.
Recently we've upgraded the CXF from 2.3.1 to 2.5.9.
We have also added WS-Policy to our service so the soap request that comes from the client includes a x509 certificate token.
However while handling a request the framework throws ClassNotFoundException while trying to load org.apache.ws.security.components.crypto.Merlin, which is located in wss4j-1.6.9.jar.
Here is the complete call stack of the exception:

The interesting thing is that other classes from the same JAR have been loaded successfully. For example org.apache.ws.security.util.Loader, which can be seen in the call stack. I have tried to put the JAR both in my WAR and in the JBoss lib folder but it didn't solve anything.
Any ideas?
Found the solution: The class name that is taken from the properties file had a trailing whitespace. Once removed the whitespace, the class loaded without a problem.

I am using axis2 web service in windows system, Eclipse Juno, Tomcat 6.0.37. I get the below error, Kindly guide me to find why this error come
org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the
error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from
ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the configuration

Check that you don't happen to have the servlet-api library in your war. If so, you'll have to remove it as this library is provided by the server.
Explanation:
The HttpServletRequest is provided by the servlet-api library, which is usually loaded by the server (JBoss, Tomcat, etc.)
If the library is also present in your applicatio, it gets loaded multiple time, by different classloaders: the application classloader and the server default classloader.
The thing is, the HttpServletRequest loaded by the server cannot be cast to the HttpServletRequest loaded by your application, and vice-versa.

of course the Objectd lib is in the Build Path and the jar file (including com.objectdb.o.RCL.class) is in its place (WEB-INF/lib). Any ideas why Tomcat has problems working with objectdb?
It turned out that this was a permission problem. If you get this error make sure your tomcat can access all necessary files.
I have a CXF webservice server calling a Axis1 webservice as cliente and getting the follow error:
"Unable to locate a valid EngineConfigurationFactory" and then, null pointer exception
I'm using Jboss4.
Is there any problem using axis1 and cxf at the same application?

The explosion has naught to do with CXF. Axis has exploded in its client library. You should be able to isolate this to a test case that has no CXF in it.
However, it may not be easy to get help with Axis1 to resolve the problem. Plan on reading the source.
