I try to open a .txt file (agenda.txt) from the src/resources folder, read objects from it and add them to an ArrayList, but I get this error: "The system can not find the specified path.". This is the code I use:

What is wrong in the code?
the file should be located outside src, something like baseproject/resources. Thats because your path is the project base not your sources directory. Or you can change the code to
private String path ="src/resources/agenda.txt";

How is it that you created a file with this statement
File file = new File(getApplicationContext().getFilesDir(), filename);
And then try to retrieve the file with this
File memoryFile = new File(filename);
Why can't you use the same statement. How is the second statement supposed to determine the directory containing the file?
I have a problem with an exported jar file. When I run my project in Eclipse it runs fine, but when I run it as an exported jar from the console I receive the following error message:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: firstLaunch.properties (System can't find file)
or
java.io.FileNotFoundException: resources/config/firstLaunch.properties (System can't find file)
I tried to put it in to the resource folder and change syntax from firstLaunch.properties to /resource/config/firstLaunch.properties, but again it says the same thing but with a different path. I don't know why is this doing this.

I am having a jsp file in which I load the existing values present in properties file. When the user edit the existing value and submit the form, the properties file must be updated with that values. Can anyone help me with this? I am using only java.

You are trying to create the file, which of course fails on a read-only file.
Remove this line:
file.createNewFile();
This is usually used to create a new empty file before writing to it. You really don't need it if you just want to read a file that already exists.
EDIT:
Just use this:
ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream( context.openFileInput("jokesBody1.bjk"));
Of course, you'll also have to pass a Context to the function.
You can only use File with a full path. For accessing your private files, use Context, just as you do when saving the file.
Your full function should look like:

So, you are not saying the app WHERE to look for the file.
