android export eclipse project from 32 bit to 64 bit system - java

I am trying to take an Android Eclipse project that I am learning in office(Win XP 32bit 32) to my home (Win 7 64 bit java) .
I am assuming I can zip up the project folders and all sub-folders from office and import in on my home eclipse and it should work . Will there be any 32 bit - 64 bit compatibility issues?

there is no issue for x86 or x64 win os
step1 File->Import->Android->Existing Android code into Workspace, Next
step2 Select root directory: browse the existing project folder in the computer
step3: Projects->Select All
click-> Finish

Eclipse updgrade 32 bit to 64 bit windows 7

I am running 32 bit windows with 32 bit Eclipse Luna and 32 bit Java 7 for android development. No issue. Now I am planning to upgrade RAM and install 64 bit Windows 7. So my question is if I upgrade my Windows 7 from 32 to 64 bit, keeping all program files(which are in C drive) and then download and install 64 bit Eclipse Mars with Java 7/8 64 bit, will my workspace open and work as like now? Or I have to format C drive, install 64 bit Windows 7 and freshly install Android SDK etc ? My workspace is in D drive.
If you want to switch to 64 bit. you need to download eclipse and JAVA for 64 bit. And you can link your existing SDK to the new eclipse in windows tab. as I did the same thing in my PC it's working fine for me
Linking Android SDK to eclipse
in Eclipse--> Window --> Preferences --> Click On Android --> Browse your SDK location--> Click Ok.
It is possible to instal JRE in to Program Files for 64 bit, other JRE in to Program Files(x86) for 32 bit.
And then to change the JRE in : Windows > Preference > Java > Installed JRS's > edit or add.

Suprema BioMini with Java - where should UFLicense.dat be put?

I am working on a fingerprint recognition Java application for a university project.
We bought Suprema Biomini Scanner and SDK and I have installed the SDK on my Windows 8 machine.
I am using Netbeans IDE and I am trying to run the demoUFEJavaJNA.java file.
The GUI for the sample program launches and when I press init, I get the following output with error 101 which means the System has no license.
My UFScanner.dll and UFMatcher.dll are located in my Netbeans project workspace and I have put a copy of UFLicense.dat there as well.
Still the error persists. Any idea how to fix this?
Had the same problem and tried (as the documentation says) to put UFLicense.dat in the same directory of the DLLs, that is, root of where I was developing/debugging, then I put a copy of the DLL and DAT files on C:\Windows\system32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64, and it worked
NOTE: On System32 you should put the x64 version of the DLLs, while on SysWOW64 the 32 bit version, is a little tricky, but you can check about this on
Why do 64-bit DLLs go to System32 and 32-bit DLLs to SysWoW64 on 64-bit Windows?

Error Launching Android Studio in Windows 8 64 bit

I am a beginner in android world.
I have downloaded
jdk1.8.0_25 from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html
android studio from https://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/studio.html
when i am starting studio.exe error pops up displaying:
"NO JVM Installation found. Please Install a 32-bit JDK"
In system properties -> advcance properties -> enviornment variables -> I have added a user variable
Variable : JAVA_HOME
Value : C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_25
I have checked in cmd the java version is jdk1.8.0_25 and my system is 64 bit, after doing all this again the same error pop up when i open studio.exe in bin folder of android-studio.
Please help
Thanks in Advance!!
go to androidstudio installed folder and go to bin folder there are files named studio64.exe and studio.exe run studio64.exe if you have installed java 64 version otherwise run studio.exe
if your version is java 64 then you should run studio64.exe .to easily run change your shortcut target to studio64.exe file.you are getting this error because android studio try to run 32bit version but you have installed java 64 version .

Setting up JMF in Windows 7 64 bit

I have searched high and low trying to figure out how to get this stupid thing working. I downloaded, and ran, the Windows installer for JMF and set both my PATH and CLASSPATH environmental variables to the following:
Note this is under User Variables for Admin (My user account name), not System Variables.
CLASSPATH
C:\Program Files (x86)\JMF2.1.1e\lib\jmf.jar;C:\Program Files (x86)\JMF2.1.1e\lib\sound.jar;.;%CLASSPATH%
PATH
C:\Program Files (x86)\JMF2.1.1e\lib;%PATH%
However, whenever I go to use the JMFDiagnostic Tool Applet on the Oracle website, it also crashes with an error about me not having the right class. Additionally, when I go into NetBeans 7.3 and try to import one of the packages, it says it does not exist.
Can anyone help a brother out!? I've blown way to much time working on this!
Try to unistall JMF and reinstall it in C:\JMF2.1.1e\
Here full steps to install JMF on Win 7 :
https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2132405
NB : When finish unistalling JMF, don't forget to delete the environment variable named CLASSPATH in user variables (if it does not removed automatically).
if you have 64 bit JDK, it wont work. bcz JMF is only available for 32 bit platform. So you need to install 32bit JDK as well. (and to avoid JDK configuration issues, better uninstall the 64bit JDK)
If a java program using JMF working in Windows XP and not working in Windows 7, here is the solution:
Install JMF on your Windows 7 PC normally. Suppose your JMF installation dir is : C:\Program Files\JMF2.1.1e.
Create a file C:\WINDOWS\java.jmfdir, open .jmfdir file and write following line in this file
C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1E\lib
Gurmeet Singh
correction : C:\WINDOWS\java\jmfdir and not C:\WINDOWS\java.jmfdir
......... so you must create manual the java Directory in Windows Directory and then create manual the jmfdir file in Java directory and then write in jmfdir file this Path :
C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1E\lib

Unable to install ADT plugin in Eclipse?

I did everything in Windows XP 32bit-with 4GB RAM, but thought why not install all applications on my other computer with 8GB RAM and Windows 7 loaded in it.
I installed everything (relevant 64-bit software : Java SDK-64 bit, Eclipse-64bit and Android SDK) in that Win 7-64 bit, except 1 thing in Windows 7 - 64bit. Even Android is loading fine on the emulator.
But when I am installing the ADT plugin in eclipse from Help > Install New Software > https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ then only 2 options are coming, and eventually the setup fails with showing the error that
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. Software being installed: Android Hierarchy Viewer
16.0.1.v201112150204-238534 (com.android.ide.eclipse.hierarchyviewer.feature.group
16.0.1.v201112150204-238534) Missing requirement: Android Hierarchy Viewer 16.0.1.v201112150204-238534
(com.android.ide.eclipse.hierarchyviewer.feature.group
16.0.1.v201112150204-238534) requires 'com.android.ide.eclipse.ddms 0.0.0' but it could not be found
I did everything correctly on Windows XP, but I am getting this problem on Win 7 - 64bit.
Can someone please let me know how to resolve this problem and successfully install the ADT plugin in Eclipse on Win 7 - 64 bit.
Thanks.
Change https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ to http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ .
