Please guide on where i am wrong..
visit http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17802_01/products/products/servlet/2.5/docs/servlet-2_5-mr2/javax/servlet/ServletContext.html#getRealPath%28java.lang.String%29
use servletContext.getRealPath(path to file);
WebContenct is not deployed on server as it is only for eclipse. so remove Webcontent from the path and give a try.
filePath contains a relative file and you try to load the filePath using a method where absolute files are required.
Try
filePath = servlet.getRealPath("Images/"
+ userForm.getUploadedFile().getFileName());

Add the jar somewhere such that eclipse can find it and use the driver from the jar to connect to the database. Refer the below screenshot which might be helpful to you. Otherwise you can always add it to your projects classpath.
Below is the graphical way to do it.
I have created the JDBCSQl.java, which is basically get one value from database. As standalone it is working fine.
When I call this class within another Servlet Java programming, null value is getting returned.
I've checked the trace log of database, it is not querying a statement at all.
I am getting the error below, when i execute. Both JDBCSQl.java and Servlet.java exists in in a single package of project.

Add sql server jdbc jar in your web apps lib folder and then try.

My guess is that the StringUtils class is not getting access to the file.encoding system property, and becuase of that JVM is not able to properly load the class.
Is my guess right??
I have tried a lot on my own, but unable to get to an answer. I just cannot figure out where the problem lies. Please help me..
Thankyou very much in advance.
Check that the MySQL connector JAR is in the webapp's WEB-INF/lib folder and it actually contains the class (com.mysql.jdbc.StringUtils) that the exception says it cannot load.
I have an exception here in the following code... I am trying to build a simple servlet project and I have the following exception raised: java.net.UnknownHostException...
I have the mysql jar file added and besides...I have added it as an external jar file and also under lib in WEB-INF, as stated in this page, but now this is throwing an java.net.UnknownHostException.
This is the code and the exception stack trace.

I am using Apache Web container and Eclipse, this post java.lang.ClassNotFoundException in spite of using CLASSPATH environment variable I think wasnt near to my case here.....please help me out, thank you all in advance...
You have missed the colon between hostname and port number... Your connection URL should be
String URL_connection="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/vendor";
I think the connection URL should be jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/vendor . localhost is the server name and 3306 the port name separated by :.
String URL_connection="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/vendor";
Please go through the docs.
The JDBC URL format for MySQL Connector/J is as follows, with items in square brackets ([, ]) being optional:
jdbc:mysql://[host][,failoverhost...][:port]/[database] ยป
[?propertyName1][=propertyValue1][&propertyName2][=propertyValue2]...
If the host name is not specified, it defaults to 127.0.0.1. If the port is not specified, it defaults to 3306.

java.io.NotSerializableException: org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationContextFacade is the clue. You have a reference to ApplicationContextFacade somewhere in your object graph, which isn't serializable, so you should try to get rid of it.
(Based on this https://community.jboss.org/message/210557, maybe you have a reference to the ServletContext)
