JPA " org.apache.openjpa.persistence.ArgumentException" while deleting - java

Am having a entity object as below and when I try to delete the Parent entity object am getting the "org.apache.openjpa.persistence.ArgumentException" but am not sure what is the reason for this exception.

Any suggestions , As per the exception should we populate the child object . Why do we have to populate the child object here.?

I'm trying to retrieve data using my Hibernate One to Many relation but failing. I'm trying to get all Bookmarked_rooms from Account. Here is my query:

Now I'm testing using DWR, because I couldn't find a better way to test quickly and so far there is no stack trace nor sql shown even though hibernate has setShowSql(true). I only get this message:

So my questions are these:
What am I doing wrong?

I always found the Criteria API very cumbersome to use and it may generate horrible SQL statements even for trivial joins.
Try this HQL query instead:
select f
from File f
inner join f.magazines file_magazine
where exists (

where s.id = :subscription_id and subscr_magazine.id = file_magazine.id
)
While you can also check any/some/member of, those expressions can lead to very complicated SQL queries. Try the suggested sub-select and see how it goes.
I am not sure if this works but you can also use the with extra join clause:

from File f
inner join f.magazines file_magazine
where exists (
select s
from Subscription s
inner join s.magazines subscr_magazine with subscr_magazine.id = file_magazine.id

For logging al SQL queries along with parameters you can set up a datasurce-proxy in front of your application data source.

Extend a baseclass and perform findById in Hibernate

I am new to Hibernate. I am trying extend the baseClass and perform findById. Can anyone let me know, if we can do this? If not this way, any other possible way where I can add new values. I don't want to change the BaseClass(i can t change it, strictly). there is no ExtendedClass table in the database.

The idea of a baseclass is a bit different. In there you would have all the variables that are common to every entity object that derive from it. For your base class you would want to take a look at #MappedSuperclass annotation instead. In your base class then you provide a protected/public getter for your id variable.

Why use getSimpleName() since that just puts the class name? JDOQL requires the class name, including package as per the JDO spec (getName() is better). Also you do NOT need #Persistent on String fields no matter what Google tells you :-P Saludos
