I would like to investigate the memory footprint of my web application on Tomcat. In addition to VisualVM, I would like to use VisulGC as well.
Could someone provide the link for the standalone VisualGC download link? Strangely I could not find it.
You must download the jvmstat package, it will contain visualgc.

I'm looking for a site like JsPerf but for Java. Is it possible to compile code in applet and then immediately run it (I guess there may be some security problems)?
Try out Rextester.com for executing java code online. Looks better than its alternate Ideone in terms of interface & is also free of ads.

Can anyone suggest any java library to use Skype public API?
I have not found Skype4Java or JSkype libraries.
I found skype4java. Yesterday download link was not available, so I thought that the library is not supported. Now everything is fine.

I'm trying to find a solution that offers either a Java api for writing .mobi files for sending to a Kindle, or something that's scriptable given a Linux environment. I have text data in a MySQL database that I want to offer as Kindle-friendly content.
I'd like to hear what tools people have used for this that work reasonably well.
There are Linux versions of the KindleGen tool available from Amazon here.

In particular read the Getting Started link and the My first Servlet. The tutorials here are pretty much easy to learn and effective.
