ADF Query Panel with Table is not working - java

I have two JSF pages search.jsf and details.jsf . In the search.jsf I have an ADF search form. I just drag and drop the View Criteria as ADF Query Panel with Table. The result of user search will be shown in an ADF table. One of the column is a link that will direct the user to the details.jsf to show the details of the selected row.
Every things works fine for the first time in the search.jsf . Problem is when the user go back from details.jsf to search.jsf , The Search form is not working and only showing the previous selected row and after pressing default search button multiple times this error message is coming:
Definition name 1 of type Attribute is invalid.
I search in the internet. Some have similar problem says that there is problem in the attributes naming. I Checked nothing wrong, I even create new view object and still facing the same error. Also, I checked the page definition, DataBindings and DataControl files, no problems there.
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3 with ADF Technology

That error generally indicates that there was a change in your View Objects attributes (query, names etc). Try creating a new search page, and see if it works. If it is OK, try to figure out what has been changed or in the worst case re-implement the searchPage. Take a look even in the VO used in "details.jsf" just to be sure. Tung

how to avoid blank page at the end of pdf report in BIRT?

I am using current BIRT version that is 4.5. I have two master pages in my report. I have huge data to display on a report so i have set some data to display on one master page and the remaining on another master page due to some reason. The problem is when there is no data to display on one of the master page it is rendering a blank page with header and footer of that master page which i want to avoid. In my pdf report how can i avoid this blank page?
Hi, all are pointing to hide tables or other components but my requirement here is, i need to hide the page itself. I dont think there is visibility option for page. even if it is there it is not so useful. Kindly understand that i dont want to display the page itself not only the components in it.so can i expect any help now?
I guess you added the tables directly on the masterpage?
That's not how it works. BIRT will render the (master)page and maybe hide the elements on them (for example a table that has no data. You can do this by setting the visibility property). The problem with this approach is that the Masterpage cannot be 'unrenderred'.
The proper way to fix this, is to add each element on the normal layout. In the properties for each table, grid, etc. you can set the pagebreak properties. Here you can select the Masterpage you want to use. If an element does not need to be rendered (by visibility settings), it wont trigger a 'blank' masterpage.
Hope that helps.

How textbox identifies type of data and autocompletes it

I was wondering that the textbox itself identifies its type and when clicked inside textbox it gives the suggestion for that. For a instance i am creating a textbox for mobile no and when click inside the textbox it correctly detects it. Can anyone explain me how it was coded. It was browser feature or HTML feature?
Here is the Image explanation
This features of modern browsers is called auto-fill option, where the browser recognizes that you have performed a specific search before and suggests information that you have typed before. For sweepers, auto-fill saves a ton of time. When Roboform doesn't fill out a form for me, I usually only have to double-click in the text field and select the data I want from the drop-down list of options. This is particularly useful for daily sweepstakes that require codes.

Dynamically changing the shown form on tree selection

I'm currently learning the adf framework, and while doing this I found myself in a situation I am not able to solve.
I have a tree component that works fine. I also have different forms, corresponding to different levels of the tree. Rather than having all of the forms visible at one time, I would like to only show the one that corresponds to the selected item in the tree.
To solve this, I created af:switcher, created facets and moved the forms there. Here is where I am lost, how do I tell the switcher to change the form? I tried to link them together using the facetName on the switcher, but no success. I suspect I did not link the right thing there, but I could not find anything helpful from the tree either! I assume it has something to do with the selectionListener and a bean, but I could not figure out a way to do this. Any clues?

For a particular selected value from a drop-down box, Display its corresponding values in drop down list?

I have two fields in a webpage. Both are composite primary keys. Out of that when I select one field (eg. out of a list of countries I select - India), the second field should display all the values corresponding to the previous field (eg. after selecting India I should get all the states in another drop-down menu).
I'm implementing this using JSP and Ajax.
Can someone please help me with this or send me the code snippets.?
Neal,
There are various codes available like this. Just do googling.

How to Dynamically adding fields in JSF?

HI All,
I am desperately looking for the assistance on adding and removing the fields and rows using JSF. I am using ICE Faces for the rich UI look. The following is my problem:
I have to add one text box and two buttons (+) and (-) in a row.
When user clicks on the + button, one new row should be added with the above components.
When user clicks on the - button, the corresponding row should be removed from the display.
I am able to add the individual components like text box and remove it. But, here my challenging point is to add and remove as a row. How would I remove that specific row (instance) from the UI View Root.
I have tried several times, but till now I could not find a solution. Please suggest me the possible solutions.
Thanks in advance,
Krishna
Rather use a h:dataTable (or the IceFaces equivalent ice:dataTable) which is backed by a List<Data> contining objects which each represents the data of a single row. On Add just add a new Data item to the list. On Remove just remove the selected Data item from the list.
