I have used Python for developing GUI based games.
But I am amateur at Java.
What will be better to use Python or Java to start Android App development?
i saw this link maybe its possible
https://ep2013.europython.eu/conference/talks/developing-android-apps-completely-in-python
so far i knw you could use C#,Java script css html(phone gap) apart from using java. It be awesome if Android could be developed in many more languages so android market gets more apps and developers too.
i will also you recommend asking this kind of questions in quora.com or stackechange as this site is mostly about fixing code

I'm learning JavaFX and learnt a lot to create Desktop Application.
Now I was deciding to go for Android App. But recently I read from the google search that I can create Android/iOS app in JavaFX. (Even watched video)
So my question is.
Should I focus on to "Learn JavaFX for Android" or should I start Learning Android separately?
As I already read from the google and realized that JavaFX for the android will be better because we can run same code for Desktop, iOS, iPad and Android. But I want to ask from experts.
You can work with javaFx for android but its efficient to learn and work with android separately.it will help you a lot with its great, easy and most powerful library support .

I am creating an android app that will use the database intensely and use a lot of Json to read the output from the database over the internet. I know that PHP is an interpreted language but would this cause an issue when creating an android app from a performance standpoint when you have many users? or would I be better off with Java/MySQL. I know both PHP and Java just thinking long term here.
PHP works fine with huge number of users. It definitely wins for rapid development and release. You can scale your servers when the need arises. Imo, use any language/framework you are most comfortable.

I want to start making apps for android in Eclipse, and I have bought a book which will teach me about Java 2 (J2SE 5.0) from Ivor Horton. Will this knowledge of Java be good for Android apps, or is it completely outdated?
No version of Java is truly 'outdated' in the sense I think you mean. There has since been a great deal of extra functionality added to the language, but not removed.
So you may not learn about some things that are now possible with the language, but nothing you learn is likely to have gone out of date except some smalls exception with regards to Java applets (which are not really relevant in Android development anyway).
Android is now capable of handling Java 7 code, so it probably wouldn't be worth learning the in-and-outs of Java 8 if your learning it specifically for Android development.

I just completed my post graduation and I know core java, advance java and oracle and little bit android, so to start my carrier i have option to choose java/.net platform. I am also interested to learn .net so which choice is better to learn .net or continue with just java platform? give me your suggestions.
Learning is always a good thing. There is no such thing as the one language to rule them all.

I have been developing for iOS for at least 3 years and have at least 1 year of experience for Java. For a long time I have been thinking to develop for Android but I do not know which book or course I should start. Any suggestions?
P.S I already downloaded Android SDK and eclipse.
You could start with the following android developer site.

i think this is the best video tutorial to start with
