I'm using jCifs 1.3.17 to connect and list files on remote windows share.
Everything works fine on my local JRE(5,6,7), but the same code executed on oracle 11g database (11.2.0.3.0) crashes with following stack:

I found out, that user password lenght might cause the problem:
1. Windows env jdk1.5.0_22 -> works with long passwords
2. Oracle linux, RDMS embeded JVM -> works with short password only (8 characters)
3. Oracle linux, RDMS embeded JVM -> long password fails with error shown above.
Sample code:

I heard somewhere about problems with oracle embedded jvm and bugs in JCE, but this shouldn't be the case, as jcifs have its own implementation of algorithms such as RC4 or DES. Does anyone have a clue what can be the case? Is there a way to walk this around?
Unfortunately I didn't find any answer to the issue mentioned above.
As a walkaround, I have used older version of jcifs (jcifs-1.2.25), which seems to work properly with oracle db embedded jvm.
UPDATE:
I have imported jcifs lib again (1.3.17) and it is working like a charm. I ended up with conclusion, that the java library was not imported properly. Reimport (loadjava) with option "-force" and manual compilation of invalid objects solves the problem always, but (I cant't figure why) in my case it must be loaded in following order :
1. Load my program lib (will cause errors)
2. Load jcifs lib with force option
3. compile and resolve
It seems that oracle jvm is unpredictable :)

I recently switched over from using a PC to a Mac and now for whatever reason one of my Impala drivers that worked fine is no longer found when run in Python. I keep receiving this error every time I run the script : "java.lang.RuntimeException: Class com.cloudera.impala.jdbc41.Driver not found". Please see code snippet for my connection below.

Did you check do you have the ImpalaJDBC***.jar in your new machine.
Please check properly weather it's available at classpath/build path or not.
Edit:
You can use hive jdbc jar as well to connect with impala , just use the port of impala rather hive in jdbc url.
Looking at this error means your jar is corrupt.
First check your impalaJDBC jar
java -jar ImpalaJDBC<version>.jar
If it gives you error that means your jar is corrupt.

I'm trying to connect to hive with jdbc. I keep getting this error. I tried looking it up but could not hind anything useful .

That method exists in Hadoop 2.8 but not in Hadoop 2.7 -- so my guess is that your project dependencies are not aligned with whatever version of Hadoop you have in Production.

Kerberos is an authentication protocol that is used by Hive server (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerberos_(protocol))
The problem you are setting is more about a missing library in our pom.xml. Have you include <artifactId>hive-jdbc</artifactId> ?
I think your keberos ticket is not generated properly
Can you try running these two commands in order from the user you are trying to connect:
kdestroy (deleted any kerberos ticket generated before)
kinit (generates a new ticket)
Then try to connect again.
I am using oracle forms 11g,weblogic 10.3.6 and java 1.7
I have tested webutil_demo, that worked successfully.
After that, I have implement a oracle form for export to excel functionality using webutil.
This form worked fine on server machine.
but other than server machine it gives an following Error:
oracle.forms.webutil.ole.OleFunctions bean not found.
CLIENT_OLE2.create_obj will not work
Note : on server machine, webutil_demo also worked fine.
I dont understand why this error.So please help me for solve this problem.
This error occurs when you have not imported webutil.pll and webutil.olb(do import "WEBUTILCONFIG" parameter and "WEBUTIL" Object group, webutil.pll and webutil.olb are available in Oracle installation directory say "C:\Oracle\Middleware\\forms") on your form.
If you dont want OLE functionality on your form, in that case import the object group of the name "WEBUTIL_NO_OLE".
I need to create a Java stored procedure in Oracle. I have used IBM's sample class for creating an MQ message from a simple class outside of Java EE environment. I have tested the class by itself and it is working.
My Oracle vesrion is 11i.
When I am trying to add the jars used in the simple application to load to Oralce along with my simple class, I am getting errors about class not found, even if same jars work with the test case. I am stuck with this for over a week and am desperately hoping that someone would be able to help me with it.
Kinds of errors I am getting are like this from -v flag with loadjava utility on the client
on line 326 / 327, you see this:

and then at the end starting from line 6224 to end, it indicates that the above class can’t be resolved:

Other issue with this that I am facing is that if I get an error and try to use the dropjava command from Oracle, it doesn't work either.
I also saw from this link, that this person was successful, but unfortunately, he/she didn't indicate how they used loadjava to load the jars.
If i can provide any other information, please let me know.

Found a detailed answer in this blog entry. I tried it and it worked for me.
In Oracle there is no concept of CLASSPATH, so the standard MQ Client install is useless. You can only load the jars reference by your app within the database schema. Classes are resolved when loaded with the -r option. You can further on specify your own resolved using -r -Resolver (schemas). (check Oracle docs for exact format). So in effect the database schemas becomes the classpath.
Using Websphere MQ classes for Java poses a number of problems, you have to ensure that the Oracle JDK version is at an appropriate support level to connect to the chosen MQ server version. Check the system requirements for websphere MQ Vx.x. You should find IBM's web references. check the support for MQ classed for java.
I have such an issue at the moment trying to connect to Mq using Oracle 10 and JDK 1.4.2. I had to recompile my Java code using JDK 1.4.x. This does not work and I assume it is because I connect to MQ 7.0.1.7 which requires JRE 1.7 as minimum.
I thought the Type 4 JDBC driver was pure Java and wouldn't require native libraries.
When I put db2jcc4.jar in the WEB-INF/lib directory of my Tomcat app packaged as a .war file, I get the following error when attempting to use the app: Got SQLException: com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlException: [jcc][10389][12245][4.12.55] Failure in loading native library db2jcct2, java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError

I suspect the problem is that you haven't told it to use the type 4 driver - the same jar file contains both type 4 and type 2 drivers, I believe.
Try:
main_db2_data_source.setDriverType(4);
The db2 driver needs another jar that includes the license.
This license controls the connection type. If you are going to use "db2 connect" to connect to a mainframe as an i series you should use the corresponding license. If you are going to connect to a Linux UNIX or Windows server, the license is included when you get the "Data server client for JDBC"
Also try this:
Goto Configure Build Path --> Libraries
--> JRE System Libraries
--> Native Library Location : Set this to %DB2HOME%/BIN
(which is where db2jcct2.dll is saved)
Recently i have faced this issue, when i was connecting to DB2 from Glassfish server. for this i have followed below steps and resolved this issue.
Please check it the below steps
step1) i have checked DB2 details in Domain.xml file.there i have seen only
username,pwd,databaseName,serverName ,portnumber, But i havent see DriverType.
Means Type of driver is 2 or 4.
2)for adding Type of driver i have logged into the Glassfish server admin console
Resources-->JDBC-->Connection pool -->our poolname --.add extra property
here i haved added as drivertype is 4.
Hence my problem has been solved
