Trouble Injecting Aspect Class From External Project using Spring - java

I apologize if this question has an answer already somewhere, I looked around and didn't see anything that I could use to my advantage. I'm getting this exception when starting up my tomcat server inside of eclipse:

Here's the servlet.xml that I'm using
<bean id="someAspect"
class="com.sample.aspects.SomeAspect" />
<aop:aspectj-autoproxy proxy-target-class="true" />
The com.sample.aspects.SomeAspect is a class in an external project that I'm importing using the eclipse classpath and gradle. I'm assuming I'm just doing something wrong with my classpath and telling Spring how to initialize my aspects, but I'm a bit lost as to how to do this correctly. Any suggestions? I'd really prefer to keep the aspect external to the web application, but I'm wondering if that's possible with Spring AOP.
If it helps, this is what I'm doing with the gradle project
dependencies{
...
compile project(':sample-projectwithaspectsclasses')
}
The code for com.sample.aspects.SomeAspect is in sample-projectwithaspectsclasses

You have defined only the classpath dependency on your external project that is why your compilation is not failing, but you need this file at runtime you can manually add this jar into the lib folder of your web project or I think you can do this using eclipse in launch configurations and add runtime dependencies.

I tried to deploye from the manager on TOMCAT's page and again it was not successful.
find in logs :
Unable to create the file [/usr/local/tomcat/webapps/mywebapp/META-INF/war-tracker]
I looked for solutions and did not find, anyone there that happened to him?
Tomcat : apache-tomcat-9.0.13
openjdk version "1.8.0_171"
The problem is the file "META-INF/war-tracker" in the deployment-war:
From the Tomcat-docs:
Note: If Tomcat expands the WAR file then it will add a file (/META-INF/war-tracking) to the unpacked directory structure which it uses to detect changes in the WAR file while Tomcat is not running. Any such change will trigger the deletion of the expanded directory and the deployment of the updated WAR file when Tomcat next starts.
It seems that you manually packed the war-file and included META-INF/war-tracker. During deployment, Tomcat (from version 8 onwards AFAIK) tries to create said file to detect the changes. However, if such a file exists, Tomcat is not able to create the file and will throw the exception you mentioned above.
Solution:
Remove the file "META-INF/war-tracker" from your war-file before deployment and you're all set.
We had exactly the same behaviour under Windows. In our case, the explanation was simple, whereas hard do find: there already was a file META-INF/war-tracker within the *.war we were deploying. Presumably, the war had been forged by hand based on an already unpacked directory tree instead of being created by the IDE.

Eclipselink error 3002

I am doing a simple migration from Toplink 10g to native Eclipselink v2.6.4 by following the instructions here (particularly task 3 and 4). Everything compiles ok but when I try to run my app I get the error below.
I tried using the old mapping file (which is still compatible) as well as a new one generated from Eclipselink workbench by importing my old Toplink workbench project.
Note that I'm only doing a migration from Toplink to native Eclispelink. There is no JPA involved.
Any ideas on what`s wrong? It seems like it's trying to improperly using String instead of my actual class, but not sure.
Also, my app has never had a persistence.xml file. Do I need one now?

Here's what I ended up doing:
Add Eclipselink 2.6.4 dependency to pom (compile instead of provided)
Add to weblogic.xml:
<wls:container-descriptor>
<wls:prefer-application-packages>
<wls:package-name>org.eclipse.persistence</wls:package-name>
</wls:prefer-application-packages>
</wls:container-descriptor>
Now Eclipselink finds my classes and boots up.
Note that my code was only passing in the mapping file and not a classloader to XMLProjectReader.read(); so I guess was using the default classloader.
If anyone knows of how to pass in a classloader I'd still be curious to know (where do I get it from?).

With reference to Spring Docs
http://docs.spring.io/spring-framework/docs/3.2.0.RC2/api/org/springframework/web/context/request/async/CallableProcessingInterceptor.html
Intercepts concurrent request handling, where the concurrent result is obtained by executing a Callable on behalf of the application with an AsyncTaskExecutor.
A CallableProcessingInterceptor is invoked before and after the invocation of the Callable task in the asynchronous thread, as well as on timeout from a container thread, or after completing for any reason including a timeout or network error.
As a general rule exceptions raised by interceptor methods will cause async processing to resume by dispatching back to the container and using the Exception instance as the concurrent result. Such exceptions will then be processed through the HandlerExceptionResolver mechanism.
The afterTimeout method can select a value to be used to resume processing.
Can anyone please explain and help me out of this.
Trace clearly shows, your application is not able to find CallableProcessingInterceptor class. Edit your pom with below dependency and check if it is working:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-web</artifactId>
<version>3.2.0.RELEASE</version>
</dependency>
I have just verified. On a Spring 3.2.8 release, org/springframework/web/context/request/async/CallableProcessingInterceptor lies in spring-web-3.2.8.jar.
The error is :
...exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/springframework/web/context/request/async/CallableProcessingInterceptor
That proves that at run time spring-web.jar is not in classpath, or is not same version as other spring jars. A common cause for that when not using maven, is to declare the jars to the compiler or IDE, not include them in WEB-INF/lib in the war, and not to have them in Tomcat's classpath.
As you do not use maven, it looks like you are in a build and dependencies hell (name is mine). Either tomcat finds other jars (typically other versions of spring) in its classpath, or your build does not include (for any reason) spring-web-version.jar for correct version. This may be hard to fix, but you can try :
control is nothing looks wrong in your build process
control if the deployed application holds proper jars with proper version
strip down the application to remove parts until it works and re-add them one at a time in order to identify exactly what triggers the error
Or if you can do it, convert your application to use maven, and it will deal almost automatically with all those dependencies for you, warning you of incompatible versions.
But I'm afraid that I cannot do more for you here ...
This exception is caused due to Spring dependent jars missing or having conflict between versions of jars
Check whether you have spring-web-X.X.X (X.X.X is the required version depending on project) jar available on your build path/Maven dependency.

I'm trying to get an 6.1.1 Portlet running on a 6.1.0 Liferay CE Portal. The JSF Portlet uses the ServiceBuilder and a lot of other Util API classes of Liferay.
I thought the best idea would be to recompile the portlet with the correct liferay-plugins-sdk.
After downloading the 6.1.0 SDK, replacing it in the eclipse project, and rebuild it, I get
a couple of exceptions. They occur immediately after starting the server.

Has someone a good idea? I also posted this issue on the official forum , but maybe here I reach more people...

==== Update 1====
To solve the above exception I ran the service-builder within the 6.1.0 portlet again.
Now it is possible to start the server with the portlet, buuut
the portlet is not visible/available in the portal for adding in a page and I get the
following ClassNotFoundException: PortletBeanLocatorUtil:

Thanks for any suggestions!
It's probably easier to recompile the portlet in the 6.1.0 sdk. Especially when you use ServiceBuilder: you're running with a code generator that is probably relying on the runtime files that come matching runtime to generated code.
For pure JSR-286 portlets, they are easily compatible even across major versions. If you use more sophisticated code, e.g. ServiceBuilder or the API, lots of effort is taken to keep it compatible, but no guarantee can be given that it actually is binary compatible - sorry, that's life.
For Liferay's own plugins, you're asked to use matching versions - they're not tested between updates. And they most likely use ServiceBuilder and the API as well.

Tomcat Restart automatically Web Application on startup, after error

I've a big trouble on tomcat.
Before explaine, let me tell is the first time I see something like this...
I'm building an application using JPA on Hibernate, Spring 3.0 and Jersey REST Framework.
When using glassfish, everything works fine, but deployng the same application on tomcat, I registered the following error code:

Then tomcat restarts the application and again, the same error. In an infinite loop.
Looks like a library conflict, but I really don't have any ideas on how to solve it...
Any suggestion is appreciated!
Ciao, Davide.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer suggests that you either don't have the Jersey JAR file or you've put it in the wrong place.
If it's the former, download it here and add it to Tomcat.
If it's the latter, put it and all its dependencies in either your WEB-INF/lib, server/lib for Tomcat 5.x or lib for Tomcat 6.x. (Just one, not all.)
It works with Glassfish because they've bundled it for you. Tomcat has not.
Remove all Jersey JAR from /WEB_INF/lib folder, refresh project and again paste all JARs of Jersey library into /WEB_INF/lib. Refresh project, stop server again, deploy and run.
It looks like either jersey.jar and/or jsr311-api.jar are missing from your webapp. You might check they are in the WEB-INF/lib folder.
