Java Socket timeout exception read timeout - java

I have got the following problem:
my application has a logic like this: every time I make a change, I catch it and save to the Oracle XE 11g DB over my Webservice. It works fine for approximately first 20-30 times and then my client crashes with the following exception. The strange thing is that my server shows no exception but if I try to reconnect to it nothing works and I have to restart the server. I thought it might be because of not closed connections, so I run a thread to disconnect inactive connections and it does the work, but after 20-30 changes my application crashes again with still the same error. I am trying to find the place in code where I missed to close some resources, to put it clean, but if it were open connections, then the problem should be solved. What else could it be?
Thanks,
Jeff
Here is my error log:

This issue suddenly happens and I am using java spark/mysql. This should has nothing to do with my local db. Because I tried java code to directly write to db and it succeeded. Please help?
UPDATE:
I googled online and then find there is a folder metastore_db under my code directory (I actually found a couple of db.lck files - 1 in my home folder, 1 in spark bin, 1 in the code folder). Then, I follow some online answer to go inside and change the db.lck file's owner and right (777). Then, run the code again. Now, I got the following error and found the file was changed back to 644.
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Unable to open a test connection to the given database. JDBC url = jdbc:derby:;databaseName=metastore_db;create=true, username = APP. Terminating connection pool (set lazyInit to true if you expect to start your database after your app). Original Exception: ------

This issue seems caused by a spark code unit testing was added during the fat jar build.
To fix it, all I did is deleting the metastore_db folder under the code directory.

Java WebStart java.lang.NullPointerException at java.awt.Window.getWindows

i'm currently attaching to a java webstart application (anything from here: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/examples/misc/index.html#security) using the Java Attach API.
That works without problems, but now i want to iterate over all available Frames using
for (Frame f : java.awt.Frame.getFrames())
But this results in

Maybe i'm missing something here, but shouldn't it be possible to access all frames within the applet? This method works fine for non applet applications.
The problem is that the error is thrown inside the java code, so there is no way for me to avoid or handle this nullpointer, and i'm not getting any frames back.
Thanks in advance.

However, I put commons-collections-3.2.2.jar and commons-collections-3.2.2-javadoc.jar as in Build Path, so in WebContent/WEB-INF/lib: Project Explorer
Anybody knows how to solve this problem?
I had downgraded hibernate version to 4.3 via Hibernate Console Configuration and created configuration (Hibernate Perspective - Run Hibernate - Hibernate Code Generation Configuration), and it started working.

What could be the cause of it? Please help me solve this problem.
Thank you.
I've got such an error after Eclipse had been updated from 4.4 to 4.4.1. All plugins were lost, I reinstalled them, then the problem occurred.
I have tried:
Close-open Eclipse
Sign out - sign in into my proper Google account
Reinstall Google plugin
Wait for a few hours...
Nothing was helpful.
While my Eclipse 4.4.1 has an Internet connection.
The only working solution for me was to use command-line tool appcfg
I solved the issue by signing out of google (bottom right in eclipse) and signing back again.
I hope it helps some one ...
This should be account which you use to publish to GAE
I was just having that issue. If I leave a socket open on my laptop without it being plugged in the default power savings will kick in and the socket will be closed. If I leave it plugged in I do not have that issue.
I also had this issue, and restarting Eclipse solved the problem.
