Spring Security Test fails with NullPointerException - java

Using Spring Security 3.2.5 and Spring Secuirty Test 4.0.0.M1 artifact, I am not able to run the following unit test successfully:
#Test
public void testRequestOAuthToken() throws Exception {
this.mockMvc.perform(post("/oauth/token/")
.param("grant_type", "password")
.param("client_id", "ios")
.param("username", "user")
.param("password", "123c86b3634342f")
.contentType(MediaType.APPLICATION_FORM_URLENCODED)
.accept(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
.with(user("ios").password("aabb03880fsddc665ffb9a0").roles("APP")))
.andDo(print())
.andExpect(status().isOk());
}
It results in throwing the NullPointerException:

HTTP 500 Request Failed jerseytest

I just want to test my web services, I'm in Java 1.6 and I use jerseyTest 2.6 for that but I keep getting the error 500 and I don't know why. My test class extends JerseyTest and I have a configure fonction which look like that:
#Override
protected Application configure() {
enable(TestProperties.LOG_TRAFFIC);
enable(TestProperties.DUMP_ENTITY);
ResourceConfig config = new ResourceConfig();
config.register(OrderService.class);
return config;
}
And a simple java class to call the web services :
#XmlRootElement
#Path("/orders")
public class OrderService {
public OrderService() {
}
#GET
public String test() {
return "test";
}
#POST
#Produces({ MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON })
public String echo() {
System.out.println("je suis dans le post");
return "je suis post";
}
#GET
#Produces({ MediaType.TEXT_PLAIN })
#Path("/{orderId}")
public String getOrders(#PathParam("orderId") String orderId) {
System.out.println("je suis passé");
return "orderId: " + orderId;
}
#GET
#Produces({ MediaType.APPLICATION_XML, MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON })
#Path("/summary")
public Response getOrdersSummary() {
return Response.status(Status.OK).entity("orders summary").build();
}
But when I execute the JUnit test I always get
"javax.ws.rs.InternalServerErrorException: HTTP 500 Request Failed"
Can you help me because I'm kinda lost now.
EDIT 1 : The exact trace of the error is :
java.lang.Error: HTTP 500 Request failed.

How can I test IntegrationFlow with Jms.messageDrivenChannelAdapter

I tried to test IntegrationFlow which receives JMS message, then do some logic, send it to another JMS queue and then save it to the file.
I have such flow:
public class ProcessingFlow {
#Bean
public IntegrationFlow jmsProcessingFlow(
ActiveMQConnectionFactory activeMQConnectionFactory,
ValidationService validationService,
ConverterService converterService,
JmsMessageSender jmsMessageSender,
#Value("${folder.location}") String folderLocation) {
return IntegrationFlows.from(Jms.messageDrivenChannelAdapter(activeMQConnectionFactory).destination("JMSQueueFrom").id("jmsProcessing"))
.<String>handle((incomeFilePayload, messageHeaders) -> {
validationService.validate(incomeFilePayload);
String message = converterService.convert(incomeFilePayload);
jmsMessageSender.sendMessage("JMSQueueTo", message);
return incomeFilePayload;
})
.handle(Files.outboundAdapter(new File(folderLocation))
.fileNameGenerator("file.xml"))
.get();
}
}
I wrote such integration test:
#RunWith(SpringRunner.class)
#SpringIntegrationTest
#SpringBootTest(classes = {ProcessingFlowIntegrationTest.TestConfig.class})
#ActiveProfiles("test")
#DirtiesContext
public class ProcessingFlowIntegrationTest {
#MockBean
private ValidationService validationService;
#SpyBean
private ConverterService converterService;
#Autowired
private MockIntegrationContext mockIntegrationContext;
#After
public void tearDown() {
this.mockIntegrationContext.resetBeans();
}
#Test
public void shouldTestProcessingFlow() throws Exception {
TextMessage message = mock(TextMessage.class);
when(message.getText()).thenReturn(XmlContentEnum.CONTENT.getContent());
this.mockIntegrationContext.substituteMessageSourceFor("jmsProcessing", MockIntegration.mockMessageSource(message));
verify(validationService).validate(eq(message.getText()));
verify(converterService).convert(eq(message.getText()));
}
#TestConfiguration
#Import(value = {
ProcessingFlow.class,
JmsConfiguration.class,
TestConfig.class
})
static class TestConfig {
}
}
But after running I received such exception:
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanNotOfRequiredTypeException: Bean named 'jmsProcessing' is expected to be of type 'org.springframework.integration.endpoint.SourcePollingChannelAdapter' but was actually of type 'org.springframework.integration.jms.JmsMessageDrivenEndpoint'

As I understood from exception my bean has type "org.springframework.integration.jms.JmsMessageDrivenEndpoint", but mockIntegrationContext expected "org.springframework.integration.endpoint.SourcePollingChannelAdapter". Does anybody know how can I test JmsMessageDrivenEndpoint correctly and what I did wrong?
Set noAutoStartup for the message-driven endpoint on the #SpringIntegrationTest.
Autowire the IntegrationFlow.
Then flow.getInputChannel().send(...);

Spring mocked junit tests throw NullPointerException with spring-security 3.2.0.RC1 version

I have got a junit test which performs a request using Spring MockMvc.
private MockMvc mvc;
#Before
public void setUp() {
mvc = MockMvcBuilders.standaloneSetup(new LoginController())
.addFilter(new AnonymousAuthenticationFilter("anonymous"))
.addFilter(new SecurityContextHolderAwareRequestFilter())

public void test() throws Exception {
MockHttpServletRequestBuilder builder = MockMvcRequestBuilders.get("/login.htm")
.param(USER, "admin").param(PASSWORD, "pass");
ResultActions perform = mvc.perform(builder);
(assertions..)
}
Test was working just fine, until I raised spring-security libs version to 3.2.0.RC1.
Now, I am getting NullPointerException at:
ResultActions perform = mvc.perform(builder);
And the stacktrace is:

I have no idea what to do about it. How to fix that test?
I need this new version of spring-security because it gives support for CSRF attack prevetion.
Greetings,
Peter.
As M. Deinum said, I had to call afterPropertiesSet method on SecurityContextHolderAwareRequestFilter. So the setUp method looks like that:
#Before
public void setUp() throws ServletException {
Mockito.reset(userGroupInfo, licenseManager);
SecurityContextHolderAwareRequestFilter securityContextHolderAwareRequestFilter = new SecurityContextHolderAwareRequestFilter();
securityContextHolderAwareRequestFilter.afterPropertiesSet();
mvc = MockMvcBuilders.standaloneSetup(new LoginController(userGroupInfo, licenseManager, userInfo))
.addFilter(new AnonymousAuthenticationFilter("anonymous"))
.addFilter(securityContextHolderAwareRequestFilter)
.addFilter(new XssValidationFilter()).build();
SecurityContextHolder.getContext().setAuthentication(null);
}

Adding MIME Messages to a LinkedBlockingQueue Error

Trying to add all MIME messages in a POP3 inbox to a LinkedBlockingQueue:
inbox = pollStore.getFolder("INBOX");
inbox.open(Folder.READ_WRITE);
for (int i = 0; i < inbox.getMessageCount(); i++) {
Message messageI = inbox.getMessage(i+1);
if (messageI != null ) {
MimeMessage mimeMessageI = (MimeMessage) messageI;
inboxQueue.add(mimeMessageI);
messageI.setFlag(Flags.Flag.DELETED, true);
}
}
However I get java.lang.NullPointerException error upon running a tester class, which otherwise works. What could be the problem?
