I would like to get informations about a Zwave usb key in java, to access to its functions because I would like to write a program who can handle different connected devices using Zwave network.
Someone have an idea to get access to this informations and functions in Java ?
(Sorry if there are some misunderstanding in my sentences, I'm not English)
There are 2 frameworks to access USB devices in Java. Both wrap native libraries. One is specifically for HID devices (not sure of this applies to ZWave). I dont know if they have all the features required to speak to your zWave devices, but they would be the first thing to try.
http://www.usb4java.org
https://code.google.com/p/javahidapi/
Both implement the JSR-80 javax.usb API (which might be too high level).

I have an exiting Android app that uses Java and XML. I want to reface it, and i need informations.
This app use Android specification like the mobile position, modification of te current antenna (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) ... and a local database with SQLite.
So I need to know if i can make my graphical interface with react and have interactions whith my java code to access to this Android properties. Is it possible to call java functions with react native ?
Can i use React or did i just have to use XML like i did before ?

I am new to android and I have covered the basics in java for backend and xml for frontend. What I would like to know is: is it possible to develop an android application completely using react and node? Also, how would it be implemented? If there are some tutorials available for this that anyone could recommend, that would be helpful. I want to know if android backend can be built in any language other than java, c/cpp.
If you read https://facebook.github.io/react-native/ you will know a bit more of how it works, but to build a native app, you need to use a framework that generates native code, or write in a language that the device can compile, like the ones you sad before. React Native generates native code.

I'm trying to create an android application to scan other applications for viruses, or malicious code etc. But to begin with, I'm trying to figure out how existing anti-virus scanning systems operate.
I don't think its rooting, because there are a lot of anti viruses that don't need rooting. If I have to guess, I would say it scans the files for signature. And they access the files similar to how file explorers work. Someone more knowledgeable can correct me.

Hello people I'm a web developer who wants to write some Android apps. I have some experience in object oriented programming concepts and it won't be difficult to get familiar with Java. Anyways the application I want to write has two parts. One is a mobile client that has read permissions from the database, the other is a desktop client that will update and modify data in database. The database itself shall be contained in a server (just another desktop) proper to the office. Each office will have this configuration and the databases from each office will be collected to update the main database (collection of databases from all offices) which would be stored on a remote server.
My questions are:
Is it possible?
If it is possible, can you provide some guidance for a fellow code writer?
Yes it is possible. What you need is Volley to handle your API calls. Check here to get started.

Well this is just something i am wondering if it is possible.
I have a router and n number of people are connected to it. Now i want to track the downloads , like which person [computer] downloaded what and how much [the size] and finally store the information somewhere in a file / database.
Is this possible? Please don't recommend software, i want to write a code that will run continuously and keep checking for downloads. Downloads should include even the surfing, like when you open facebook some data is downloaded, even that should be added.
If not possible for router is it possible for individual computer?
It would be really useful if it works for a router situation.
Thanks for your help in advance.
