Spring Feed Integration - java

i work with spring and spring-integration. I need get rss stream and write (right now is file). This is my application config for spring:
<int:channel id="rssFeedChannel">
<int:queue capacity="40"/>
</int:channel>
<file:outbound-channel-adapter id="file" mode="APPEND" charset="UTF-8" directory="/tmp/si" filename-generator-expression="'SpringBlog'"/>
<feed:inbound-channel-adapter id="news" channel="rssFeedChannel" url="https://spring.io/blog.atom">
<int:poller fixed-rate="5000"/>
</feed:inbound-channel-adapter>
<int:transformer input-channel="rssFeedChannel" expression="payload.title + ' # ' + payload.link + '#{systemProperties['line.separator']}'" output-channel="file"/>
I run the application and get exceptions:

How fix this?

According to you logs:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.jdom2.input.sax.XMLReaders
it looks like you don't use any dependency management tool for your project. Hence you lose jdom jar in your target classpath.
I tell that because of:
\--- com.rometools:rome-fetcher:1.5.0
+--- com.rometools:rome:1.5.0
| +--- com.rometools:rome-utils:1.5.0
| +--- org.jdom:jdom:2.0.2
| \--- org.slf4j:slf4j-api:1.7.7 -> 1.7.10
As dependency tree for spring-integration-feed.
Hope this picture will help you to figure out your issue.

Error during Wildfly8.2/ Jboss EAP 7.0 deployment from Hibernate persistence

I started with the migration of Java 8 and hence i have to change Spring and Hibernate. So i upgraded Spring and hibernate to the below versions. I was able to deploy and the run the code locally on Tomcat 7. But getting the below error while trying to deploy it on Wildfly8.0 or Jboss EAP7
I tried the deployment on wildfly and found that internal its trying to invoke hibernate4 bootstrap. Hence i decided to move a little bit upward and try EAP7. EAP7 uses hibernate5 bootstrap. But the error remains the same.

I have Spring Web app built with maven. I excluded commons-logging from spring to use SLF4J and Logback. But for some reason, the deployment fails with the following error

I'm not sure what is triggering the Apps server to look for commons logging and then complain that it can't find it. I'm trying to find out the misconfiguration in my app that could be causing this (maven's dependency tree did not show commons logging at all). Here's my Maven configuration

Dependency Tree:
I also checked for any hidden references to apache commons. But I couldn't find any. Not sure what's causing the error. I need to remove apache commons and make Spring use SLF4J and logback. Any insights are appreciated.
You can try to add jcl-over-slf4j dependency, this is needed according to this documentation.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.slf4j</groupId>
<artifactId>jcl-over-slf4j</artifactId>
<version>${jcloverslf4j.version}</version>
</dependency>
I hope it helps.

I am using MongoDB on my project.
By the way, this is the web.xml part of the contextListener
<listener>
<listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class>
</listener>
<context-param>
<param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name>
<param-value>
/WEB-INF/spring-servlet.xml
</param-value>
</context-param>
I have tried so much solution ways but i couldn't solve this problem.When i removed spring-data-mongodb dependency project is started but what is the problem with this i couldn't solve, because it was working yesterday.
Thanks for your attention.
One possible reason that you might have another version of spring-core jar along with 3.2.3.RELEASE in your classpath, a possible transitive dependency. CachingMetadataReaderFactory.clearCache() was added as a part of Spring Core 3.2.0.RELEASE. Having lower version of spring-core might therefore cause this problem.
So, adding an explicit spring-core 3.2.3.RELEASE dependency like the one below might just solve this problem:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-core</artifactId>
<version>${spring.version}</version>
</dependency>
Your spring-security-core jar version 3.1.4.RELEASE is depend on spring-core 3.0.7,so your project might be using this as transitive depenedency and spring-core 3.0.7 do not have CachingMetadataReaderFactory.clearCache() method which leads to exception.See spring-security jar dependencies here.
Though you have spring core - 3.2.0 jar, which has required method but it may not be called here.Try changing its order up in build path.

Plese help me out. I am in deep struggle. Thanks
This blog post has the answer:
Add metadata-complete="true" in your web.xml to override default properties of 3.0 for annotations. By default, Tomcat 7 will scan all of your class files for annotations and attempt to deploy any classes found with web descriptors it understands. Setting metadata-complete tells tomcat that the web.xml and other descriptor files are complete, and not to bother with the annotations.
Reference
There are problems with Tomcat Servlet 3.0 support in <7.0.15. Upgrading to a later version should resolve this issue.

I got this error due to some issue in Mockito test, adding this solves the problem.

Spring WS DefaultWsdl11Definition Error

I am using Spring WS and declaring a DefaultWsdl11Definition bean to generate the WSDL Files on the fly.
However , When i start the webserver (tomcat) I get a bean instantiaion error due to :

Any Idea what the problem might be ..
PS : Spring version is 3.0.5 , Spring WS Version is 2.0.0-M3
Thanks
Spring-WS depends on the WSDL4J library, which you seem to be missing.
I got the same error. Then I realized that wsdl4j dependency was missing.
<dependency>

You need the WSDL library to be included. The POM for Spring WS Core 2.0.0-M1 includes this reference:
