I'm using the ojdbc7.jar that is distributed from the Oracle site, and so far it has worked perfectly. Recently, however, we've decided to switch to using a maven structure for our webapp development so I've been converting our Java Web App to maven. Now I'm seeing this oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.isValid(I)Z error when making an Oracle DB connection even though I'm using the exact same driver file as I was in my non-maven build. I have the dependency declared like this:
<dependency>
<groupId>com.oracle</groupId>
<artifactId>ojdbc</artifactId>
<version>7</version>
</dependency>
I have manually installed the driver using Netbeans, as the maven depository does not contain the ojdbc7 driver.
Why am I seeing this error and what can I do about it? It's clearly a maven related problem seeing as this builds perfectly without maven managing it.

I'm trying to add external library (.jar) by Tools->Libraries etc. but I still receive errors. I even tried deleting chache folder of NetBeans - with no result. What else can I do? It's rather strange I cannot add this external library....
My code for adding this driver:
public Connection getConnection() {
try {
//step1 load the driver class
Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
//step2 create the connection object
connection = DriverManager.getConnection(this.url, this.login, this.password);
if (connection != null) {
System.out.println("Connected");
}
}
catch(Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
return connection;
}
The errors I get:

You need to add the Oracle SQL driver *.jar to your project configuration, as described on https://www.developer.com/java/data/creating-a-jdbc-application-in-netbeans-a-step-by-step-guide.html
In case of a Maven or Gradle project, you need to add the driver dependency to the pom.xml / build.gradle file as written on https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/maven-central-guide.html
In case someone could struggle with this like me...
Just remember to add dependency to your pom.xml file (it is not mentioned in answers to other questions on StackOverflow):
<dependency>
<groupId>com.oracle.database.jdbc</groupId>
<artifactId>ojdbc6</artifactId>
<version>{your numer of ojdbc6 version}</version>
</dependency>

So, I figured out the issue. I had moved the entire directory into my C:\Program Files directory which due to corporate admin restrictions was likely blocking permissions somewhere. That being said, I moved the directory to a 'normal' location, re-ran gradlew and I can navigate to the pages. Thanks for the ideas!
Check via the DevTools in Chrome what's the HTTP status code of the response and the page content if there is any. You can see it in the network panel in the column "status".
Check the OfBiz log files for any errors or stacktraces.
In fact the problem could be somewhere else.
When you store your ofbiz application under a folder with space inside, the common visual theme don't work. So the solution is to either change the current top-parent folder by erasing spaces within its name, or changing the folder (you did it without knowing exactly what was going exactly).
Regards.
i also face the same issue with OfBiz version 16.11.04 because of some admin side permission for the solution you need to put your project in c drive and start it. for me its working fine.
We recently started converting a large webapp to Maven, and everything seemed to be working great, but no matter what we do, Maven doesn't recognize the tomcat-dbcp.jar file on the tomcat server. In my dependencies, I have set the following:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.tomcat</groupId>
<artifactId>tomcat-dbcp</artifactId>
<version>8.0.26</version>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
But I get the following stacktrace:

I should point out that this was never a problem before Maven, and we haven't made server side changes that should cause this.
I'm currently using a odjbc7.jar driver, which is up to date and has been installed through Maven, appears in my repository in the correct location, and is included in the app itself via a system scope. This is the identical driver file that is being used in the non-maven build, where this error does not appear.
I have a problem when I try to use a stylesheet, it gives me this error:

In my index I ask for the results from a servlet and apply this stylesheet, the sintax is this:
<iframe src="${pageContext.request.contextPath}/semaphore?cmd=retrieve&stylesheet=xslt/semaphore.xsl"
width="100%" height="100%"
scrolling="auto" frameborder="0"></iframe>
If I don't pass the &stylesheet=xslt/semaphore.xsl part, I get the results obviously with not style, that's why I think it has something to do with my xsl, the funny thing is that I run perfectly fine the same app using tomcat 6, and this is with tomcat 8.
Is there some problem with the version of tomcat I'm using?
Also I'm using Xalan 2.7
Any ideas?
I got the below error.
Please give me some suggestions.

You use libraries that are incompatible. The code that is executed was compiled for one version of the spring API(ABI) but at run time there is a different version. Make sure you don't include different or newer versions of the same library into your application. This is quite an often case when applications are built with tools like Maven.
