I am using Eclipse Luna Service release 2 (4.4.2) in my mac system. I had installed testng from market place. When I am trying to run using testng.xml as Testng suite, I am getting following two errors on error log window and testng is not getting launched. But if I am running the same at individual class level(without using testng.xml) it is getting triggered properly without issues.

I had already tried following options:
UnZip eclipse Newly,Install Testng from market place- Then also observed same issue.
UnInstall and Reinstalled Java 1.8.0.60,Unzipped eclipse, created New Workspace and and Installed TestNg from market place - Then also observed same issue.
Could someone suggest is there any other work around or solution to fix this issue or is it a bug in Eclipse Luna?
Thanks in Advance for your help and support.
I found the workaround Now for launching my TestNG suite by performing following steps.
Steps:
Right click on the testng.xml -> Select Run as-> Select Run Configurations-> Double Click TestNg Option-> Browse Suite and select your same testng.xml suite file from the list. Now click Run button and finally my testng.xml suite is getting launched and started running successfully with out issues. This workaround solves my problem.
But still if I am seeing the same reported error(on above question) if I am doing right click on same testng.xml->run as-> TestNg Suite. Not sure why testng suite is not getting launch when I am doing directly, but the same is working fine, when I am running via Run Configurations.

I installed the latest Eclipse Oxygen
then add Java Development Tools
then added Groovy (http://dist.springsource.org/release/GRECLIPSE/e4.7)
then created a groovy project
then converted it to a maven project
then tried to add a groovy class and/or a java class.
I get: Unhandled event loop exception

Please help :)
Thanks
I'm running Eclipse Luna on a Mac (Yosemite).
Been using Eclipse for a few months now, when I open Eclipse this morning however I get a popup after the splash screen with "An error has occurred, see the log file."
What I've tried:
Ran Eclipse with -clean argument
I have no .snap file in the resources metadata folder to delete
Completely removed my workspace (well, renamed it)
It doesn't get past the splash screen though.
Here's the log file in case it's helpful:

Did you kill the jvm process with the task manager?? If you do, maybe your workspace has been corrupted. You have to make a new workspace. It happened to me several times.
According to this stackoverflow question, they were able to fix a similar problem by switching JDK versions. Have you recently installed a new JDK?
I am working with Spring Tool Suite
Version: 3.6.0.RELEASE
Build Id: 201407101106
Platform: Eclipse Luna (4.4)
and due i18n requirements I have installed Eclipse ResourceBundle Editor
ResourceBundle Editor 1.0.3 com.essiembre.eclipse.rbe.feature.group Pascal Essiembre
The Plugin works perfect. But the IDE has a weird situation, once when in the project a .properties file is created and then it is handled by the ResourceBundle Editor, practically for any java class in the IDE, the "Ctrl + Space" stops to work, any autocomplete feature does not work anymore, any reference variable with the "dot" pressed, to let me see the list of methods, it does not work anymore too..
To resolve this I must restart the IDEā¦ of course if I open again a .properties managed through this plugin all goes wrong again
Seems it is a bug, or perhaps I forget to do an extra configuration.
I already have reported this to them:
ResourceBundle Editor disables basic functions in the IDE #12
Without any reply yet..
Exists a way or special setting to around this situation?

How Reproduce the error:
Have any project created
File -> New -> Other -> ResourceBundle -> ResourceBundle
Next and create the .properties file according with the requirements of i18n, Finish
Locate and select the main or default .properties file (i.e. messages.properties)
Right click -> Open With -> ResourceBundle Editor
I can reproduce this and it seems indeed a problem that happens when installing and using the ResourceBundleEditor in STS. The exception is not throwh when doing the exactly same thing in a plain Eclipse Luna Java EE distribution (after installing the ResourceBundleEditor). Therefore I opened: https://issuetracker.springsource.com/browse/STS-3917 to investigate this issue.
I'm trying to import a bunch of Eclipse Java projects into a workspace (called "TestWorkSpace") and I want to do this via batch script. I'm running into a bit of an issue:

Any help is much appreciated! Thank you
The org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild application is part of the Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools (CDT), so you need to have that installed in order to use this application.
Neither the core Eclipse nor the Java Development Tools has a headless import tool.
You can import multiple existing projects using the 'File > Import > Existing Projects into Workspace' tool - but that requires using the Eclipse GUI.

This problem occurs with XUL Runner runtime environment versions later than 1.9.0.x, for example, version 1.9.1.
You can determine the configured version of XUL Runner runtime environment by running the following command:
xulrunner -v
Edit the eclipse.ini file.
Locate the -vmargs line and add a new line to specify the version of the XUL Runner runtime environment using this syntax:
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.x.x
For me, increasing --launcher.XXMaxPermSize
256m to 512m in eclipse.ini worked.
This issue came once Eclipse loaded with many plugins and features due to which Eclipse needed extra space while loading these new plugins/features during startup.
All the bugs reporting this kind of message (like bug 260772 or bug 239681) mention XulRunner: you wouldn't have installed it recently?
Eclipse/SWT 3.4 supports any
mozilla/seamonkey/xulrunner/firefox-iff-dynamically-linked >= mozilla 1.4.
Starting with FireFox3, a private xulrunner is shipped with FireFox for its use, however this is not a full install that the Browser can be pointed at independent of the FireFox that it came with.
But if the FireFox is dynamically linked, then the Browser can use it (the FireFox), and the fact that a private xulrunner is being used by the FireFox to do its work is just an
implementation detail that the Browser doesn't know/care about.
If you have xulrunner 1.9~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 installed - then Eclipse 3.4 doesn't work - and it doesn't seem to matter what versions of FireFox you install or uninstall
The other cause is related to some workspace corruption, which might explain why the OP balderman comments:
I found a way to start eclipse by commenting out the line: RECENT_WORKSPACES=bla bla in the file org.eclipse.ui.ide.prefs: as the question "How to delete obsolete workspace in RAD?", that don't actually delete a workspace, but allows to skip one which could have some kind of corruption issue.
Do you get:
org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: No more handles
Every time you start?
This means Eclipse is running out of operating system resources, do you have many other applications open? Try shutting down some other applications you have running.
If you DON'T have many other applications running you may want to consider looking at sleak, the eclipse plug-in that monitors handle usage of eclipse and eclipse RCPs.
Are you running plain Eclipse, or have you installed many plug-ins? I'd be very surprised if vanilla Eclipse ran out of handles...it's more likely to be caused by a plug-in (in my experience anyway).
