UnsupportedClassVersionError while deploying TCPIP connector in IBM Websphere

I'm trying to deploy a TCPIP connector in the form of an ear in IBM Websphere. But I have no idea what is going wrong here.
WAS version : 8.5
As WAS version uses java 6 by default I tried changing it to java 7 as the jar files my ear uses have been compiled using JAVA 7 - 1.7
But still It didn't work. While starting the app I get the following error:

Could not initialize class sun.security.ec.SunEC Exception in docker

I am running a spring boot application with jasypt in docker. Everything works fine up until I try to add SSL to our application. After setting SSL while startup I get following exception

Docker image is run as devuser.
If ssl is disabled devuser is able to start the spring boot application with jaspty. However if ssl enable above error.
SSL arguments to server start are
-Dsecurity.require-ssl=true -Dserver.ssl.key-store-type=JKS -Dserver.ssl.key-store=file:/app/dev.jks -Dserver.ssl.key-store-password=some_password -Dserver.ssl.key-alias=some_alias
I tried to modify entire $JAVA_HOME permission to devuser:devuser
/app and dev.jks file does have devuser ownership and execution mode.
If USER devuser is removed from docker then root user is able to start spring boot start with ssl.
I am using open JDK 1.8.0.171
I am missing some permission part of java.security part or may be java.policy part. I am not sure what is that I am missing.

Can you verify your nss version in your machines using rpm -qa |grep nss-[0-9] .
Incase your nss version is lower than 3.23, you might need to upgrade it.

Gremlin Console can't initialize neo4j2 embedded database

I want to use the Gremlin console for some Gremlin queries on an embedded neo4j2 database. Gremlin via Rexster is not a problem.

If you think your datastore is on same version as the libraries you're using doublecheck the classpath for duplicates. If you have two different versions it's generally non-deterministic which one is being used.

This issue happened after adding maven plugin to my eclipse (although the ear is an old one which is not generated using maven)
And this issue happens with more than one ear.
I have tried to create another profile, but i got the same issue.

If the EAR is build with Maven, the error can be caused by a version of Axis2 that has been downloaded with Maven. Try to exclude it from your pom and only use the version provided by the WebSphere JRE.
But if you say that the EAR is not build with Maven... There is no reason that WebSphere has another behaviour. It is independent of the Eclipse plugins.

After Investigation,
1- The Ear file is OK. Its old and I can deploy it successfully on another machine.
2- The profile is OK. I found the same issue after creating a new profile.
So, I'm sure that it's an issue in my WAS. But I have no time to investigate the real cause.
As a fast solution, I have installed the WAS and re-installed it. And it works perfectly.

I had this exact error. Was starting Tomcat through Eclipse Run configuration.
What I found out is that all jars from Tomcat /lib folder were in classpath. When remove them from there, the problem has gone.
So try to find are those in your classpath, and remove them.
