I have NetBeans Spring MVC project without any pom.xml file. I included jackson-databind-2.7.0-rc1.jar, jackson-core-2.7.0-rc1.jar and jackson-annotation-2.7.0-rc1.jar. But I got the following error pressing the button "Click me": HTTP Status 404 - Not Found. How can I avoid this error?

I have the same error when I chante method test() by the following code:

produces = {MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON_VALUE})
public #ResponseBody Test test()
{
Test t = new Test(1, "123");
return t;
}
Ok. Let' make this simple. No need to configure multiple controller handlers and multiple view resolvers. Make the changes below.
1. Change your web.xml dispatcher servlet mappings from *.html to /
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>dispatcher</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
2. In dispatcher-servlet.xml, replace your coniguration with this
3. In your ajax call, use url: "./ls-test", in the onclick() function

I am trying to create a simple Spring MVC app and I don't know why I get error 404 The requested resource is not available.
This is the xml file :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<servlet-mapping>

</servlet-mapping>
</web-app>
The dispatcher serlvet:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"

<property name="suffix" value=".jsp" />
</bean>
<context:component-scan base-package="controllers" />
<mvc:annotation-driven />
</beans>
my controller handles just a simple model:
#org.springframework.stereotype.Controller
public class Controller {
#RequestMapping("/")
public String getData(Model model) {
model.addAttribute("message", "Hello World!");
return "index";
}
}
And the JSP file! I just want to print the message from the controller.
<%# page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" language="java" %>
<html>
<head>
<title>$Title$</title>
</head>
<body>
<h1>${message}</h1>
</body>
</html>
Here try to say that for ant file end with .jsp
<bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver">
<property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/jsps/" />
<property name="suffix" value="*.jsp" />
</bean>
Try to change this method and return a ModelAndView object
#RequestMapping("/")
public ModelAndView getData() {
ModelAndView mav = new ModelAndView("index");
mav.addObject("message", "Hello World!");
return mav;
}
Or you can still use String as return type:
#RequestMapping("/")
public String getData(Model model) {
model.addAttribute("message", "Hello World!");
return "index";
}

Why does Spring MVC respond with a 404 and report "No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [...] in DispatcherServlet"?

I know same question has asked before but its not helping me i am trying to solve this for last 2 days i am using "spring-framework-4.2.4.RELEASE"
this is my code : web.xml

</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>HelloWeb</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
</web-app>
HelloWeb-servlet.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

<bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver">

package com.tutorialspoint.controller;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Controller;
import org.springframework.ui.ModelMap;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMapping;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMethod;
#Controller
public class HelloController {
#RequestMapping(value = "/hello", method = RequestMethod.GET)
public String printHello(ModelMap model) {
model.addAttribute("message", "Hello Spring MVC Framework!");
return "hello";
}
}
This is my hello.jsp. and the path of this jsp is WEB-INF/jsp/hello.jsp
<%# page contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8" %>
<html>
<head>
<title>Hello World</title>
</head>
<body>
<h2>${message}</h2>
</body>
</html>
Try doing the following:
Add <context:component-scan base-package="com.tutorialspoint.controller"/> to your HelloWeb-Servlet.xml.
change <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern> to <url-pattern>/web/*</url-pattern>
Then hopefully you will be able to access localhost:8080/web/hello.
I am new in Spring MVC. I was practising with some example. And I am experiencing some problems.
When I run my project i get : HTTP Status 500 - Handler processing failed; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/servlet/jsp/jstl/core/Config.
Thanks in advance..

I think your web resources are not getting scanned and you are getting 404.
You should add something like this <context:component-scan base-package="com.web.resouces.package" /> in dispatcher-servlet.xml.Please see this link
http://www.mkyong.com/spring-mvc/spring-mvc-how-to-include-js-or-css-files-in-a-jsp-page/
Hope this helps.
I create a new Spring MVC project, then in index.jsp I send POST to the Spring Controller named springController.java. File index.jsp:
<%#page contentType="text/html" pageEncoding="UTF-8"%>
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<script type="text/javascript" src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="//code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.4/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<title>Welcome to Spring Web MVC project</title>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#testForm").submit(onFormSubmit);
});
function onFormSubmit(e){
data = $("#testForm").serialize();
// console.log(data);
$.post("/test/another");
e.preventDefault();
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<form id="testForm">
<label>Imie: </label>
<input type="text" name="login">
<label>Nazwisko: </label>
<input type="text" name="password">
<input id="testPostButton" type="submit">
</form>
</body>
</html>
I try to catch POST in springController.java, here is the code:
/*
* To change this template, choose Tools | Templates
* and open the template in the editor.
*/
package newpackage;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Controller;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMapping;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMethod;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.ResponseBody;
/**
*
* #author Abc
*/
#Controller
#RequestMapping(/*method=RequestMethod.POST,*/ "/test")
public class springController {
/**
*
* #return
*/
#RequestMapping(/*method=RequestMethod.POST,*/ "/another")
#ResponseBody
public void test(){
System.out.println("Doszlo");
}
}
But sendind POST is not working, in WebInspector's console I get
POST http://localhost:8084/test/another 404 (Not Found)
In this moment I only want catch POST send from index.jsp. Unfortunately, I am newbie in Spring MVC and I don't know what I am doing wrong.

I have no idea what is wrong, why I can't ,,catch" POST from index.jsp in springController.java.
It is my first post on StackOverflow, I would be very happy if somebody decide to help me.
Greetings from Poland and thank you for help!
Here is file applicationContext, I have to paste file here because I am new and don't have enough reputation. Still in WebInspector's console I have the same message as earlier:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"
xmlns:mvc="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.1.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.1.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc
http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc/spring-mvc-3.1.xsd">
<context:component-scan base-package="by" use-default-filters="false">
<context:include-filter expression="org.springframework.stereotype.Controller" type="annotation"/>
</context:component-scan>
<mvc:annotation-driven />
</beans>
Try to uncomment
RequestMethod.POST
above the method definition
Also make sure that your controller is recognized as bean by spring. You annotated class with #Controller. To make it work you can add configuration to your applicationContext.xml:
<context:component-scan base-package="newpackage" use-default-filters="false">
<context:include-filter expression="org.springframework.stereotype.Controller" type="annotation"/>
</context:component-scan>
<mvc:annotation-driven />
