No Persistence provider for EntityManager Error

I am getting this error "No Persistence provider for EntityManager named" and not able to proceed.
I am learning hibernate and trying so hands on stuff.
I tried all the methods mentions in this search forum, but still i get the same error. I tried the following
SAVED THE persistent.xml file in src/main/resources/META-INF/persistent.xml.
Updated the provider to "org.hibernate.jpa.HibernatePersistenceProvider".
Still no luck, can any one kindly help in how to resolve this. Below is screen shot and code.

Project Structure:

You need to change the maven dependency version from <version>6.1.0.Final</version> to <version>5.2.11.Final</version> for <artifactId>hibernate-core</artifactId> as there has been significant changes from Hibernate 5 to 6 and need to consider upgrading corresponding dependencies and schema names etc in persistance.xml file

When I tried with 6.1.0.Final - I also get the same error as mentioned below.
But when I changed version back to 5.2.11 then it connected to database.
PS : I've used the maria db instead of mysql but that should not matter.

Entity Manager is null when trying to connect to Dockerised DB2 in Java using JPA, also using maven & Open Liberty

So I'm developing an API and I'm trying to connect to a local docker instance of DB2 from java using JPA entity manager. After running Apache Maven and getting build success, I try a GET request from Postman to test an endpoint and get a list of all users from DB2. I'm receiving the below error saying that entity manager is null. I've tried researching online and can't seem to find the solution.
The Dao class is virtually unchanged from a previous iteration that used Derby instead of DB2 and it worked fine.
I was wanting to know where I've gone wrong, what needs changing, and if anything is not needed. Provided below is the xml files and the DAO java class containing the entity manager. All properties for DB2 is correct as they're unchanged from a successful connection I was able to do from Eclipse's Database Development. The driver used then was db2jcc4 which I think is different to the driver said to use for the maven dependency so not sure if that's an issue.

Your persistence.xml is incorrect. It should point to datasource configured in the server.xml, not specify driver properties.

Unable to build entity manager factory ( JPA HIBERNATE )

When I am trying to run my application via JPA Hibernate , I receive some exceptions :

In the beginning, I thought it's caused by Java 10 version, but after downgrade to 8 problems still occurs. Thank you in advance for all your hints

The persistence.xml was most likely not the cause of your problem.
If I understand Thorntail correctly, it is pulling dependencies from your maven repository expecting them to already be there. If they for some reason are not already there (for example, your pom is missing the dependencies that Thorntail needs), it will simply fail while reading the jar files. If that is the case, then maybe the error handling could be improved upon.

My persistence.xml file was a source of the problem, I've configured my H2 datasource and now application works fine

"No Persistence provider for EntityManager" error

I am newbie to JPA and I tried to do a simple example from the book.
But no matter what I do I receive following error:

JPA is a specification implemented by multiple JPA providers (Hibernate, EclipseLink, OpenJPA, Toplink).
You need to choose a provider to use and add the appropriate dependency to your pom.xml. Also you need to specify your provider in persistence.xml.
For example, if you use OpenJPA (I choosed it for this example since its latest version is available in Maven Central Repo, so there is no need to configure vendor-specific repositories):

1) make sure you have defined the persistence provider(for whatever provider):

Actually,
You don't seem to have a dependency for an actual Peristence Provider.
JPA in itself does not have a implementation, you will need to also use Hibernate/Toplink/OpenJPA as an actual solution.

According to your persistence.xml you are using TopLink with PostgreSQL as the RDBMS. While you reference the PostgreSQL JDBC driver in your pom.xml, you haven't declared TopLink as a dependency.
My guess (I admit) is that the persistence API doesn't find TopLink (your persistence provider) in the classpath. Try adding TopLink as a dependency.

JPA being a specification has multiple providers (implementors). You have to choose one that provides the actual bytecode for the JPA specification. Hibernate is common choice, but yours may be different. Once you have identified that, add that as a dependency into your POM. Otherwise, add the JAR file to your build path.
