Failed to load ApplicationContext (JUnit Spring) - java

I'm trying to start working with a Spring project. It is a legacy project and supposed to be working.
When I try to pass the tests, it all comes down.
It always returns: IllegalStateException: Failed to load ApplicationContext
I don't know what the error could be but it is supposed to be working.
I am using a Tomcat 8.0 Server
Eclipse: Mars.2 Release (4.5.2)
Trace of one of the errors:

That is, your method config.PersistenceConfig.entityManagerFactory(PersistenceConfig.java:51) tries to look up a property hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto, whose value is defined by a placeholder that refers to itself.

How to unit test and send messages to embedded broker?

I need to run an embedded ActiveMQ Artemis.
Having this code:
ConnectionFactory connectionFactory = new ActiveMQConnectionFactory("vm://localhost?broker.persistent=false");
Session session = connectionFactory.createConnection().createSession();
MessageProducer producer = session.createProducer(null);
JmsRequest jmsRequest = new JmsRequest("jsonMsg", JmsRequestStatus.NEW, "targetQueueTESTTEST");
Topic topic = session.createTopic(jmsRequest.getTargetQueue());
TextMessage message = session.createTextMessage(jmsRequest.getJsonMsg());
producer.send(topic, message);

How can I solve this issue? How can I get the session from the embedded broker?
The main problem here is this:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.activemq.artemis.core.remoting.impl.invm.InVMConnectorFactory
You need to put org.apache.activemq.artemis.core.remoting.impl.invm.InVMConnectorFactory on your classpath so the application an use it. This class is in the artemis-server Maven module, e.g.:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.activemq</groupId>
<artifactId>artemis-server</artifactId>
<version>2.13.0</version>
</dependency>
If you're constructing your classpath manually then just include the artemis-server-<version>.jar. It's shipped in the broker distribution in the lib directory.

Spring context refresh, Component not reloaded properly on Integration Tests

I am trying to write a small library which is used for failsafe.
Basically I am putting registered CircuitBreakers into a hashmap which is hold by a class annotated with #Component.
When running multiple integration tests by one run command, I am facing the issue, that #PostConstruct methods of Beans are re-called by ApplicationContext.refresh() where the hashmap still holds references to the previous referenced Objects. Therefore the map throws IllegalArgumentException since I designed it liked that.
Nonetheless, I think I just miss something to clean the map before the refresh is called.
Is someone here who can give me a hint? The Project can be found here.
The Bean which needs to be cleaned is this.

I also adjusted locally the CircuitBreakerRegistry so that it implements DisposableBean but actually it makes no difference.
Actually I just found out what caused the issue, the map where I registered the CircuitBreaker was static.
#Component
public class CircuitBreakerRegistry {
private static final Map<String, CircuitBreaker> concurrentBreakerMap = new ConcurrentHashMap<String, CircuitBreaker>();

JUnit AssertTrue doesn't fail the test

Our system can run over both web platform and Windows platform. We created tests for the web platform by Cucumer, Selenium, and JUnit and it works fine but very slow.
We decided to execute the same tests on the Windows platform, and created a program which integrates with it, operated by the JUnit. It works very very faster, but we have a problem.
Most cases when AssertTrue has to fail the test, it actually calls fail(), but the test continues running to the next sentence. Moreover, the output of the fail() is actually printed.
Why does it occur?
EDIT: I don't know what can be clearer than what I wrote, but you want:
assertTrue("retval = " + params[0], params[0].equals("0"));
When params[0] = "1018" the test is supposed to stop with failure. But it continues to the next code instruction.
The output is:

This code is sorrounded by try-catch block, and gets also Throwable e. it includes also Assertion Error exception, so test not failed.
