I was just wondering which dependencies are required to use hibernate? I have the following in my pom
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.glassfish.jersey.containers</groupId>
<artifactId>jersey-container-servlet</artifactId>
<version>2.23.1</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-web</artifactId>
<version>4.3.2.RELEASE</version>
<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>commons-logging</groupId>
<artifactId>commons-logging</artifactId>
<version>1.1</version>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>

<artifactId>servlet-api</artifactId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.glassfish.jersey.ext</groupId>
<artifactId>jersey-spring3</artifactId>
<version>2.23.1</version>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.springframework/spring-jdbc -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-jdbc</artifactId>

</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/net.sourceforge.jtds/jtds -->
<dependency>
<groupId>net.sourceforge.jtds</groupId>
<artifactId>jtds</artifactId>
<version>1.3.1</version>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/commons-dbcp/commons-dbcp -->
<dependency>

<artifactId>commons-dbcp</artifactId>
<version>1.4</version>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.hibernate/hibernate-core -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate-core</artifactId>
<version>5.2.1.Final</version>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.springframework/spring-orm -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-orm</artifactId>
<version>4.1.6.RELEASE</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>

</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.codehaus.mojo/exec-maven-plugin -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>exec-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.2.1</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
But i seem to be getting a class not found exception
org.springframework.beans.factory.CannotLoadBeanClassException: Cannot find class [org.springframework.orm.hibernate5.LocalSessionFactoryBean] for bean with name 'mySessionFactory' defined in ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml]; nested exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.springframework.orm.hibernate5.LocalSessionFactoryBean
Would someone be able to advise as to which dependency I am missing?
Thanks
Support for hibernate 5 has been added from 4.2 release of spring-orm. You can use the latest 4.3.2-Release.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-orm</artifactId>
<version>4.3.2.RELEASE</version>
</dependency>

Sorry for posting it here as I dont have reps to add it in a comment.
Please remove the older version of spring if you want to use a new version.
It is a very bad idea to have multiple versions of spring in one application.
You will spend hours and hours of wasting time for solving magical errors occurs with your application just because of two versions of spring jars.
I came across with the same issue and I used the Maven Dependency BOM. It works perfect. The ---Version---Number is the Spring Framework version you are using in your project.

I’m using net-beans 8 and I am facing two errors in trying to install db2 drivers for my maven application...I have been following instructions from earlier posts.
when I try to add the repositories to my POM file it keeps giving build errors:
Malformed POM /home/pom.xml: Unrecognised tag: 'id' (position: START_TAG seen ...<repositories>\n <id>
when i tried to run the maven install command it seems to be attempting to connect to the internet its giving this error...

MongoDB Version : 3.0.4
List<DocumentDO> list = getMongoOperations().find(query, DocumentDO.class);
When i try to find data from above code, it takes 5 to 10 seconds to fetch 23 results out of 23.
List<EventDO> list = getMongoOperations().find(query, EventDO.class);
When i try to find data from above code, it takes only 1 to 2 seconds to fetch 23 results out of 23.
Only different between DocumentDO and EventDO is :
DocumentDO contails fields with string list
EventDO not contails any fields with string list
can any one help me, why this happen with me?
Let me know if you want more information.
In the pom file of a java project I have the spring dependencies set to version 3.2.1.RELEASE but when I run a mvn dependency:tree I get different versions for some of the dependencies:
org.springframework:spring-core:jar:3.0.0.RC3:compile
org.springframework:spring-expression:jar:3.2.1.RELEASE:compile
org.springframework:spring-beans:jar:3.0.0.RC3:compile
org.springframework:spring-context:jar:3.0.0.RC3:compile
org.springframework:spring-test:jar:3.2.1.RELEASE:test
com.sun.jersey.contribs:jersey-spring:jar:1.12:compile
+- org.springframework:spring-web:jar:3.0.0.RC3:compile
| \- aopalliance:aopalliance:jar:1.0:compile
\- org.springframework:spring-aop:jar:3.0.0.RC3:compile
\- org.springframework:spring-asm:jar:3.0.0.RC3:compile
The weird thing is that in other project which also depends on spring 3.2.1.RELEASE I actually get the denendencies I declared in the pom file.
Any idea why this weird thing is happening? Could this be because of other dependencies I have?
EDIT:
here's the pom file

I think it is quite likely that another library in your project has a dependency on 3.0.0.RC. My best guess is Jersey-Spring. Try excluding all the relevant spring dependencies from it like below and it should pick up your specified version.
`
<dependency>
<groupId>com.sun.jersey.contribs</groupId>
<artifactId>jersey-spring</artifactId>
<version>1.12</version>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-core</artifactId>
</exclusion>
.....
