chat app SSLSocket SSLHandshakeException - java

Hey i'm building a chat application, I was previously using regular sockets for communications but want to add encryption so I've switched over to SSL sockets. However since switching to SSL sockets as soon as I go to send a message I receive a SSLHandshakeException, can anyone give me any clues as to why this is happening?
Below is the ServerConnection class:
import javax.net.ssl.SSLServerSocket
import javax.net.ssl.SSLServerSocketFactory
import java.net.Socket
import java.net.ServerSocket
import java.io._
import scala.io._
class ServerConnection(port: Int) {
def connect(): Socket = {
val factory = SSLServerSocketFactory.getDefault()
val serverSocket = factory.createServerSocket(port)
serverSocket.accept()
}
def getMsg(client: Socket): String = new BufferedSource(client.getInputStream()).getLines().next()
def sendMsg(client: Socket, msg: String): Unit = {
val out = new PrintStream(client.getOutputStream())
out.println(msg)
out.flush()
}
def close(client: Socket): Unit = client.close()
Below is the ClientConnection class:
import javax.net.ssl.SSLSocket
import javax.net.ssl.SSLSocketFactory
import javax.net.SocketFactory
import java.net.Socket
import java.net.InetAddress
import java.net.InetSocketAddress
import java.io._
import scala.io._
import java.util.Calendar
class ClientConnection(host: InetAddress, port: Int) {
def connect(): Socket = {
val sslfactory = SSLSocketFactory.getDefault()
val sslsocket = sslfactory.createSocket(host, port)
sslsocket
}
def getMsg(server: Socket): String = new BufferedSource(server.getInputStream()).getLines().next()
def sendMsg(server: Socket, user: User, msg: String): Unit = {
val out = new PrintStream(server.getOutputStream())
out.println(this.getCurrDate() + " " + user.getUsername() + ": " + msg)
out.flush()
}
def getCurrDate(): String = "(" + Calendar.getInstance().getTime().toString().substring(11, 19) + ")"
def close(server: Socket): Unit = server.close()
}

Connecting RESTful client to local virtual machine

I am trying to connect my desktop Windows 10 machine with local Virtual Machine having Ubuntu 16.04.
I have written a RESTful client in following way to connect to this machine in following way.
public class NetClientGet {
// http://localhost:8080/RESTfulExample/json/product/get
public static void main(String[] args) {
try {
//URL url = new URL("http://localhost:8080/RESTfulExample/json/product/get");
URL url = new URL("http://192.168.56.101:8998/sessions");
HttpURLConnection conn = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection();
conn.setRequestMethod("GET");
conn.setRequestProperty("Accept", "application/json");
if (conn.getResponseCode() != 200) {
throw new RuntimeException("Failed : HTTP error code : " + conn.getResponseCode());
}
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(
(conn.getInputStream())));
String output;
System.out.println("Output from Server .... \n");
while ((output = br.readLine()) != null) {
System.out.println(output);
}
conn.disconnect();
} catch (MalformedURLException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
}
I am able to ssh into this virtual machine via Putty.The peculiarity is that till I don't ssh via Putty in this virtual machine, this code produces error as follows:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

So what is actually missing in my approach of making connection?

Client host blocked - JavaMail

I am unable to send a mail through JavaMail API
this is the code:
package my.eliank.lgg.robots;
import java.time.LocalDateTime;
import java.util.Properties;
import javax.mail.Message;
import javax.mail.MessagingException;
import javax.mail.Session;

private String host;
private Properties properties;
private Session session;
public MailBot() {
sender = "no-reply#baguette.ga";
host = "mx1.freehostingnoads.net";
properties = System.getProperties();
properties.setProperty("mail.smtp.host", host);
properties.setProperty("mail.smtp.port", "2525");
properties.setProperty("mail.smtp.user", "user");
properties.setProperty("mail.smtp.password", "password");
session = Session.getDefaultInstance(properties);
}
public void sendMail(String recipient) {
try {
MimeMessage message = new MimeMessage(session);
message.setFrom(new InternetAddress(sender));
message.addRecipient(Message.RecipientType.TO, new InternetAddress(recipient));
message.setSubject("Lotto numbers generation #" + LocalDateTime.now().toString().substring(0, 10));
message.setText(MainFrame.textAreaOutput.getText());
Transport.send(message);
System.out.println("Message was successfully sent");
} catch (MessagingException e) {

What does this spamhaus IP block mean and how can I remove it? I am trying to send a mail through my host at http://www.freewebhostingnoads.net why I keep getting blocked?
Someone using your IP address, perhaps the previous user of that IP address on your web hosting service, is believed to be sending spam. Follow the links in the error message and it will tell you what to do. If you're using a dynamic IP address you may need to switch to a static IP address.

why i am getting Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-2" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError?

i found a java file on the web that allows me to read a pdf in a url and save it to my local machine,
i have sucsesfully compiled it and customized as a javabean so i can useit in my app, but when i test it i am getting the next error message.
i have added the library (PDFOne.jar file) to my project in netbean and averything compiles well.
in fact, the program detect my pdf url and validate it saying is a valid pdf file, but then the error comes:
any tip ? i am completely new in java world.

I have resolved my question... The first thing was that I've needed to include the jar file in my classpath and the second thing that I've needed to sign the jar file.

I checked http://localhost:8080/ and port conflict. I have turn off windows firewall and yet the problem exists. Can someone kindly point me some direction? Any advice would be great! Thanks ahead!

Based off your comments my guess is that your server is binding to the loopback address (127.0.0.1, aka localhost). You didn't post what the server software is, but change it's configuration so that it binds on 0.0.0.0 instead. That should fix your issue.

I'm guessing you probably have just the javaee.jar in your classpath, which has the definitions of the javax.mail.* classes but not the actual implementation.
You should download the javamail api if you dont already have. Found here
You're running with a javaee.jar that does not contain implementations. It's a "stubbed" implementation that is just intended to enable compilation, not execution. This post provides more details. (It's referring to Java EE 5, but the same holds true for 6.)
This post provides explanation and possible solution. You might need to adjust your class path.
