reading JSON data from php file in android application - java

i am just a beginner in developing android applications, i wanted to connect my application to a server so i could get data from MySQL. so i tried to make login part first but i have some problems. my code doesn't work for reading JSON.

First : On device side, Use volley, its simple and easy to use
Second : On server, what is {"result":[{"response":"true"}]}
any problem with {"result":true} ??
Last but not the least : Did you use JSON before or this code is trial and error copy paste from some tutorials?

Pass global variable to php file through AsyncTask in Android Studio

I am currently populating a RrecyclerView from a remote database but wish to only query the database for dates based on a users ID. I have the userID assigned as a global variable on the LoginActivty of the app but I'm not sure where to pass that information to the php page from my DateActivity.

I solved the problem by passing it though the link.

I am able to see in debug that I received data like in this link, but I found that I should use code below for selecting only distance from the data I received. Dont know how to combinate these codes together.. I would like to have in textView how far is the distance between two cities from url.

unable get json from url

HTTP post request returns HTML code instead of JSON data

I am trying to develop a simple client-server application in Android. I have a problem while fetching a response from PHP code. It returns an HTML code instead of JSON. Is it a problem with the WAMP server I have used?

It may be due to one or more errors in your HTML, or if your page returns non-text objects. Make sure your HTML webpage does not throw an error while running from browser.
For one thing I would suggest that your PHP script sets proper content type when returning json, see Returning JSON from a PHP Script. Also see Java HttpRequest JSON & Response Handling for how to do JSON requests in java.
Try changing die(json_encode($response)) to echo json_encode($response)

Can't Convert to JSONArray for showing in ListView

i'm try to convert json array from internet to listview. the php code in server work correctly and return the json string below.

use

instead of
JSONArray notes = jSon.getJSONArray("notes");`
Because your json String is collection of JsonOject's it's not contains any JsonArray.
