I'm kinda new to Java, and I'm trying out JavaFX. I'm using NetBeans 8.2 and made a new JavaFX project. Netbeans created a sample "Hello world" app, but running it gave me this error:

Exception running application helloworld.HelloWorld
Java Result: 1
Any help would be appreciated.

The key thing in that stack trace is this line:
Caused by: java.lang.ClassFormatError: Truncated class file
Anything that says Error within a stacktrace points to really severe "environmental" kind of problems.
In your case: it seems that one (or more) of the class files that your IDE generates out of java source code is simply corrupted.
Try to to simple clean and rebuild your project.
If that doesn't help (which I would find rather surprising); then I am kinda worried that your Netbeans installation itself is somehow corrupted (so, me personally, I would then completely wipe that installation and try from scratch again).

Executable .jar file doesn't run

I have a problem with my .jar file.
It work's perfect when I run it in IDEA, but when I build it in jar file, application ignore double click.

Exception running application Main
I import to the project one library, when it worked in java 1.8 only, jar application hes been worked, but when I updated library for all java version, import to project, and run it, received this Stack Trace.
[Edit]
Changes in lib:
private static void LoadPlatformPacketTypesFromAssembly() {
Reflections reflections = new Reflections("com.intenselab.jlabframework");
Set < Class < ? extends Object>> allProtocolMessages =reflections.getTypesAnnotatedWith(IntenseLabPacket.class);
allProtocolMessages.forEach(aClass -> {
crc32.reset();
crc32.update(aClass.getSimpleName().getBytes());
messageTypesMap.put(aClass, (int) crc32.getValue());
});
}
Was without "com.intenselab.jlabframework"
It won't work as you cannot access files in JAR from filesystem (which is what File API do)
File:/C:/Users/__it/Desktop/Ilab%20API%20UI%20+%20CODE%20v%202.0/ApplicationExampleForClients%20V_1.0%20(CODE)/out/artifacts/ApplicationExampleForClients_V_1_0_jar/ApplicationExampleForClients%20V_1.0.jar!/Interface.fxml
ApplicationExampleForClients%20V_1.0.jar! says that you want to access file that is inside JAR, and that will not work as your filesystem has no direct access to it. You should use resources to access project specific material from JAR.
https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/technotes/guides/lang/resources.html#class
so you will end up with something similar to
InputStream in=SomeClass.class.getResourceAsStream("Interface.fxml")
Make sure to add all the required jar files to the exported jar file, when building/exporting your application. There is a description on who to do this: Correct way to add external jars (lib/*.jar) to an IntelliJ IDEA project

API works with Java application but not JavaFX

I am building a software in Java and JavaFX. It generates PDF reports (with DynamicReports) then uses SendGrid API to send to send them. I have already added the SendGrid API .jar file to the classpath.
The problem is that my JavaFX application crashes when I instanciate my subclass of SengGrid. As you can see:
Exception in thread "JavaFX Application Thread" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sendgrid/SendGrid$Email

Now the interesting part is that the API works perfectly when I call it from a non JavaFX project. And more interestingly, it also works when I call it from a "console" main class inside the very same JavaFX project.
So far, I have tried to call that "console" main from my JavaFX code as a sort of static method that would fulfill my task (sending the PDF files). But again, I encounter the very same exception.
Can anyone suggest a solution to solve this ? (or at least go around it)
Turns out it was an issue with Netbeans. Using the exact same code with Eclipse works perfectly. I couldn't find an explanation but I'm giving this answer for anyone who might stumble upon the same issue as me.

It seems, I am not the only person having this issue. Solutions that I found (and used for quite a while, was to use Java 6). Now it seems some update of OSX completly removed Java 6 from my system and I there seems to be no offical download links for Java 6 for OSX anymore.
Is there some way to get this "wsimport" working again for Java 7 or 8?

ClassNotFoundException in java?

I am trying to run example from this particular site:

Now from the pom in this file, I can see that simple json is included but I am not sure why is it throwing this issue.?
I would say that the problem is that when run under map-reduce the jar you need is not in scope (i.e. not found). One way to fix that is to create a jar with all the dependencies and submit that as the job. Other options are to make sure it is available in each node and deploying the depdndecies to Hadoops' distribtued cache (but the first is the simplest - though it makes for slower job starts since the jar is bigger)

Could anyone please help me why this error is coming.
It is very much needed.
Thanks
Problem Solved.
Actually hibernate-annotations.jar file was of different version in the server's lib folder.
Someone might have changed it. Now its working properly.
Thank You.
