I had to configure a 'JavaMysqlConnectorApp' project to JPA project on Eclipse.
But when I revert changes manually to back earlier project on Eclipse, it shows error icon on project explorer.
Please find two image links where shows detail about problem.
Here is error icon on project
Eclipse bottom 'problem' tab shows why error icon showing on Project
How to convert jpa project to normal java project(without JPA) on Eclipse?
Thanks in advance to all.
Ok I find the way...
Followed the following steps to back java project from JPA project :
click to the project properties
find the 'Project Facets' bellow 'Maven' on left side of the properties window.
unchecked the 'JPA' on project facet ( I don't need JPA in mine project anymore )
save all changes
Then cleaning project and find no more error icon on mine project.
This link shows you the lucid view !
Cheers. Thanks to all for your valuable suggestion.
One click away.
On the top right corner you can easily choose perspectives, just choose any other than JPA.
I'm not in front of Eclipse now, but if i recall correctly there should also be a context menu on project right click, named "JavaEE Tools" where you can permanently turn off JPA on this project.

I am new to Java programming.I am running on Eclipse right now and it doesn't import Swing libraries. It shows a red X and it says Access restriction. Can anyone help me?
As you said i am new so i am writing detailed steps for you to fix this issue. I am assuming your installation and class path settings are fine.
1) Right click on your project and click "Properties"
2) From left column select "Java Build Path"
3) Now select third tab "Libraries"
4) Click on "JRE System Library"
5) Now Remove selected JRE System Library via "Remove" button.
6) Now in order to Add it back, Select "Add Library" and select the JRE System Library
Its default library It should work for your if installation and class path settings are fine.
I understand what you are saying and like to ask you if:
you got the newest (proper) JDK (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html the left link)
you got a good JRE (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre7-downloads-1880261.html)
you should also check your windows permissions set yourself as admin
also if all else fails i'd try netbeans since this is like a really universal IDE, you can download newest netbeans + jdk on site above aswell (right link)
hope i could be off service
And welcome to the wonderfull world of Java

I have just created an android project in android studio 1.2.1.1 but it says cannot resolve R. I have not changed the manifest or the xml which are usually responsible for that problem.
I'll post the answer for anyone finding it useful, in the end i just had to update the sdk manager to 22.0.1 and change the gradle build tools version to the latest meaning the one i downloaded
Try to build or clean project. It always occurs after create new project because R is generating at build process not while creating project.
Its also happens when you dont have necessary support files..
Check the error log, it should be showing some kind of error that will help you to resolve the problem..
Check if yours xmls are ok,you can have bugs there.
Also try clean the project or build it again.Other solution can be change something in your code and build.
R.java is a file that regenerate, so you can close Android Studio, delete R.java and open it again.

Another R.Java file missing [duplicate]

I opened an android application project called Test Canvas and later cleaned it by
Project > Clean ...
'Bulid Automatically' option was ticked.
Then the R.java file was deleted and it did not regenerated.I tried all the other options mentioned in the questions of stackexchange. But the R.java file remained missing.
One answer said that R.java generation fails because of errors in .xml files. But there were no errors.I'm 100% sure.
Then i created a new android application project which cannot have any issues in xml files.
When i created the new project it didn't came with the R.java file. I tried cleaning and building with different combinations. It still doesn't work.
I am using eclipse Helios
Android API 15
Android SDK Manager Revision 22
JDK 7U25
Can any one help me on this please?
I understand you have tried cleaning the project. What I would like you to do is Build the project and check the console for any errors.
The R.java also doesn't gets generated if the your project contains errors and these errors are clearly mentioned in your console.
Have a look and see if you can resolve your problem.
Try the following
Close and Reopen the project
Ensure your project folder has 777 rights
Use a later version of Android, that triggers a clean build
Check Problems tab, sometimes errors are not shown on the project files/folder, but a error shows up in this tab
Check top to see the amount of memory you have left, sometimes OOM screws things up
Please use a more later version 1.5 is like decades old
Try this.
Open the properties of your Project
Go to the Android Build target of your Application
Just change the from the currently checked one to another version(can be anything, but one that is supported to at least the minSDK declared in the Manifest)
Do a clean build, if your Project has no issues like in your resources like hyphens in draw able names, unrecognized strings, missing dimension values etc ... your Project should generate the R package with the R class

Possible Duplicate:
Developing for Android in Eclipse: R.java not generating
Im using Ubuntu 12.04 with Eclipse Indigo (I downloaded classic, and it poped up with that on the splash screen, so I guess thats it). I am trying to use the Android SDK with it. I downloaded all the SDK's possible from the interface, then added the Eclipse plugin. I created a project to mess around with Android stuff, and there are two errors. One error I fixed. The other was something like, "R.java does not exist". I Googled it, and found other Stack Overflow questions similar to this one. I made a new one, because all the answers to the other questions didnt work. I tried cleaning my workspace and my project, I tried reinstalling the plugin and the SDK. Nothing worked. Is there anything Im missing to have Eclipse generate R.java? I am also using the 32-bit version of Ubuntu, if that makes a differece.
You failed to actually include any code in your question, so we cannot help to verify whether or not it is correct.
Assuming your Java code is correct, most likely your cause is an error in a resource or your AndroidManifest.xml file that is preventing R.java from being regenerated. To figure out what is going on:
Look for red X marks in the Package Explorer for resources or the manifest
Look in the Console for error messages
Look in the Problems view for error messages
Try the following to see if it helps
right click on the project
select Android tools
select Fix Project Properties

I've been using the Eclipse references (Ctrl+shift+G) for sometime now. I notice that Eclipse misses finding some references sometimes. Is there something I must configure to get this working correctly?
Your problem may be related to issues concerning Eclipse's CODAN indexer. Try to rebuild the index by clicking [Project Explorer] > Index > Rebuild. Goto Eclipse > Preferences > C/C++ > Indexer and check if your indexer is setup correctly...
I just sorted out a similar-sounding problem.
In my case I was mistakenly ending up with a project->JAR dependency rather than a project->project dependency.
This involved a specialized import of a set of Java-based projects, with logic to
set up a project->project dependency if possible and a project->JAR dependency if
the source was unavailable.
(This wasn't using Maven but from what I know of Maven<->Eclipse integration I could
imagine this happening in a similar case).
So typically I get a project->project dependency but I had messed something up in my filesystem so I ended up with a project->JAR dependency without realizing it...and Ctrl+Shift+G stopped working.
This happened to me working with a Java/Maven project just recently as well. The version of Eclipse was Neon.3 Release (4.6.3).
Rebuilding the projects using Project -> Clean... did not help. The solution was to close and then reopen the projects. After that, the call hierarchy was correctly calculated again.
There's a long standing open bug for this issue: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=108749
In my case I have imported two maven projects to eclipse. One was depending on another and references in dependent project were not found. I have right clicked on dependent project choose preferences->java build path then removed dependency from Libraries tab and added same dependency to projects path. Of course I had to have both projects in workspace.
Ensure that your project is of the type expected. My similar symptom turned out to be because the eclipse project had been recently re-imported as a general project. Once I realized that and converted it to a C/C++ project, find references again worked as expected.
