Failed to destroy end point associated with ProtocolHandler ["ajp-nio-8009"] while starting the Tomcat server after changing pom.xml

I am working on a legacy application which is using Struts-1 and Hibernate-4. Now I have introduced Spring-Boot in the application. Below is the pom.xml that I have now ,-

Now while I'm starting the Tomcat server in eclipse [Tomcat-8.0 or Tomcat-9.0], it doesn't start at all. And I'm getting the below error everytime in the console ,-

Can anyone please help, how I can startup the Tomcat server and run the application as usual like before??

Difference between maven clean and eclipse clean

I have a cucumber project which runs fine when u run cucumberrunner file alone [Run as -->Junit test].
When i try to run same file using maven command it failed : mvn clean test

Results :
Tests run: 0, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0
But it works when i do following steps
Select project -->Project -->Clean and then run mvn test
I am confused what i am missing and what is the difference.

Maven : No tests were executed

I am abe to run my Junit runner for Cucumber using maven command line. My runner file is located in /src/java/test/Runners/ directory. Following is the command that I am using:

I have tried different versions of surefire plugin but in vain. The test passes all the time even if I launch it directly from the Test Runner as well as via maven command but via maven the build is always marked as failed. If anyone could point me where this error is coming from, it'd be of great help.

It works for Junit Runner Classes but not for TestNG. My tests are now passed and the maven build succeeds as well. If anyone has more generic way of implementing the same for both TestNG and Junit Runner classes, would be absolutely brilliant.

I believe the reason you are seeing the error is due to the way you are passing the test argument.
As per the Maven Surefire's official documentation, you need to pass test class name.
So change your command line argument to -Dtest=OneTest
Edit: Ignore the above answer.
After looking at your pom.xml, one thing is certain that some older version of cucumber-core dependencies were included and also testng dependencies were included. I excluded those dependencies and it's working fine now.
Also, one of the plugin (com.aventstack.extentreports.cucumber.adapter.ExtentCucumberAdapter:) is not compatible with cucumber version > 4.2.0. See this blog. So I removed that plugin.

How to solve "java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.springframework.util.ReflectionUtils.accessibleConstructor"

I'm replacing lagecy's gradle project with boot's maven project.
There is no error, but when i run Tomcat server, the following error is
displayed.
i tried these....
pom.xml spring-context remove -> failed
spring boot version downgrade 2.1.9 --> 2.0.4 -> failed
i made dependency spring core, spring context same version -> failed

How should it work?

I suggest that you run the following at command line
mvn dependency:tree -Dincludes=org.springframework.*
You should then look at all the spring dependency versions. I'm guessing you have some version mismatches which you'll need to fix.

Posting this because my solution was different and took forever to find.
In my case it seemed to have been a conflict in multiple dependencies having that method.
By grepping my project folder for the name of the method, I could see what jars it was present in.
grep -r "ReflectionUtils" myProjectDirectory/
Result: (only listing spring ones)
Binary file myProjectDirectory//target/myProjectDirectory/WEB-INF/lib/spring-core-5.3.15.jar matches
Binary file myProjectDirectory//target/myProjectDirectory/WEB-INF/lib/org.springframework.core-3.2.4.jar matches
I used mvn dependency:tree to track where org.springframework.core-3.2.4.jar was coming from, and it was under a dependency called "org.springframework.beans"
I went to pom.xml and removed the springframework.beans dependency, replaced with spring-beans 5.3.9, clean installed, and reran grep. Result was now:
Binary file myProjectDirectory//target/myProjectDirectory/WEB-INF/lib/spring-core-5.3.15.jar matches
From there I ran on tomcat and issue no longer appeared. It may be a unique circumstance but it was the only thing I could get to work after scouring threads everywhere.

And i am using following commands to run jar file
java -jar xyz.jar
and getting error:no main manifest attribute, in xyz.jar
java -cp xyz.jar com.trident.SchedulerMain and getting error:Error: Could not find or load main class com.trident.SchedulerMain
Even tried creating MANIFEST.MF and added these lines
Main-Class: com.trident.SchedulerMain
But still no luck. Can anyone please help me with this?

pls ensure that you add the location of your .class file to your classpath. if your .class file is in the current folder then add . to your classpath. If your class is in a package then call java -classpath . packagename.ClassName
