I am writing android app with java and google app engine. I need to run R-script in my code to analyze some data.
So now I am looking for a way to run this sctipt on google app engine or any other solution, but still didn't find solution.
Is there a way to do this?

I am currently working on a project. I have learned Java for ~4 years and am completely new to Android Studio.
In this project, a camera with artificial intelligence should recognize people within a certain radius.
With an Android app that I want to program using Java via Android Studio, I want to access the camera and query the information.
My question would be, with which tool or library can I program such an app and what else do i need?
I tried to use OpenCV and also Exoplayer, watched several different tutorials, but nothing really worked out for me.

I thought using histograms might be the right apporach. I looked around and found this intersting project. https://isl.cs.technion.ac.il/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Face_Recognition_Project.pdf
Introduction
Our goal was to create a fully operational mobile application which could detect,
recognize and track human faces.
In order to do that, we have decided to use the Android[3] platform combined
with the opencv library[4][5].
The development of the application was made on Qualcomm MSM8960[6] mobile device which run a 4.0.3 Android OS.
In addition to the application we have built, we also did a research about how
well we can use LDA[1] and PCA[2] in order to recognize faces and also about
the use of LDA in order to do basic pose estimation.

I'm trying to develop an Android app that has a native Google Maps control. Seems simple enough, but unfortunately I've run into a lot of trouble setting it up.
I have very carefully followed the instructions here multiple times with no success. Every time I try to load up my app, I get the message <my app> won't run without Google Play services, which are not supported by your device. I have confirmed in the settings that I do in fact have Google Play services on the device.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall downloaded google services apk's, but abd does not allow me to uninstall it with the error DELETE_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR, I assume it is because I don't have root access.
You need to update your SDK and install the latest Google Play Services library under "Extras" section. The AVD can be launched using "android" binary under your SDK tools folder.
So I found the answer to my own question. I made a dumb mistake...
In my manifest, I entered my api key where it says API_KEY: android:name="com.google.android.geo.API_KEY but it should just be API_KEY. Changing this, and using Google Play services 9 instead of 10 fixed it.
I am trying to develop a java app that will run on a Raspberry PI. Raspberry PI will be mounted on a vehicle and I will know my position through a gps device. To solve this, I’ve been thinking on a solution like this:
Use a Webview on my JavaFX app and use your javascript API to build a real-time turn by turn navigation app. However, I’ve seen that your web API is not as complet as mobile platforms APIs. My question is: Is what I am trying to do feasible using your APIs? If so, could you please give me a brief description how to do it?
Thanks!
The Javascript API is not a turn by turn API - that is currently something a bit too heavy for javascript to handle (it could be feasible but it's not commercially attractive right now).
In theory you could integrate directly with the C++ code of the SDK as that should be able to run on Linux (depends here on the gcc version used and the OpenGl support offered - send an email to dev#telenav.com with your scenario and they will advise you).
Or if you can run Android on the device then you can use directly the Android SDK.
I am automating my android app through Appium in Emulator. During the test case run, i want to capture all operations performed in the emulator into a video. How can i do this?
As i want to deal with programmatically, are there any APIs supported to do this?
Is there any methods to do this using Java?
I heard that we can record for Android real devices(adb shell screenrecorder), but not for Emulator.
Can someone please help me on this?
Thanks,
Uday
You can consider the emulator itself as a windows application and hence you could record it like any other windows app. For a more platform independent option, there are a few java libraries with api.
Well i `ve made an app using java me and as graphics i used lwuit library which i added into the midlet`s jar. On Nokia it runs smooth and i wanted to port it to android. So i found out about microemulator http://microemu.blogspot.ro/2008/11/running-java-me-applications-on-android.html and i followed those steps and i got the apk. However when i run it into the Android Emulator it closes at start. I don`t know what may be the problem because i was able to convert the demo jar app into apk and it ran succesfuly.
Any ideas on what should i do?
I suggest you port your application to Codename One which should be pretty simple. It has proper Android support which will make your application look and act native on Android.
