Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : when class exists under tomcat/lib?

I have two wars both using one specific jar (ehcache-core.jar). I did put the jar under <Tomcat_Home>\lib.
But when I start the server, my application throws below error where class exists under ehcache-core.jar

The error message is saying:
Could not initialize class net.sf.ehcache.CacheManager
Check further back in the logfile, and there should be a stacktrace for some exception that was thrown during the initialization of CacheManager or one of its dependent classes. Fix the cause of that exception, and this problem will be solved as well.

Can't store BLOB using Oracle + Spring + Liberty profile

I receive ClassNotFoundException : oracle.sql.BLOB exception storing blob in DB. Here is my conf:

Eclipse Oracle Hibernate StringIndexOutOfBoundsException

Getting this odd error during changeover from MySql to Oracle. Everything worked fine until I switched over to an Oracle driver. The autowired class SessionFactory is now failing, but with this odd String error:

I'm using Spring 3.1.0.RELEASE and Hibernate 4.0.1.Final. How do I set event listeners for my SessionFactory? Ultimately, I'm trying to inject a bean into Hibernate entities following this thread -- Injecting fields via Spring into entities loaded by Hibernate. Hibernate4 changed the way EventListeners are registered and doesn't provide a setter for EventListeners map anymore. There's different solutions around for dealing with this, have a look at this thread:

From the Spring reference on TransactionalTestExecutionListener:

Put your "test class" DeviceControllerTest into package, for example org.example.controller, with will be located in /src/test/java. In your folder /src/test/resources create package with same name, it mean org.example.controller and put there DeviceControllerTest-context.xml
