I'm new to this tool and I'm trying to create MySQL connection to a database but when I press the 'Test' button it apears this message:

Rigth now I'm just running the application file that comes inside of the folder from the download from pentaho's webpage.
What I've done until now
I've downloaded the lastest version of the MySQL Driver from MySQL's webpage.
I've unzipped the file and copied the mysql-connector-java-5.1.43-bin.jar from the driver download and tried pasting into the lib folder and Data Service JDBC Driver folder.
My question is this:
Where should I paste this driver to connect properly?
For the new version of the MySQL JDBC driver (in my case version 8.1), the name of the main driver class has changed. Even if you download the driver and restart spoon, still the MySQL connector of Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) looks for the wrong class name.
The workaround would be to use the "Generic database" connection type in PDI and add the new class name by hand. The typical connection details would be:
Dialect: MySQL
Custom connection URL: jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/database_name
Custom driver class name: com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver
Reference: https://jira.pentaho.com/browse/PDI-17341
I got to resolve the error.
I'm ashamed, but it just needed to close and open the app again.
I just want to keep it here just if somebody doesn't get to resolve this problem and find this question.
download Mysql connector from here: connector
unzip the file
copy only the two *.jar files into data-integration/lib/
restart Pentaho
go to: Database Connection -> choose MySql -> edit your connection info -> test connection.
this resolved my issue.

UPDATE:
I have taken a look at the kafka.jar mentioned - which seems to be added to the classpath by the CMD files that run the distributed worker - kafka-run-class.bat in particular and it is less than 1kb so doesn't seem to be a valid JAR - so maybe that first error is a red herring. But that aside if it runs on, the distributed worker just spits out a load of errors about ClassNotFoundException, then goes on to say every config value provided in my distributed properties config file is not recognised, and doesn't try and load any plugins
ORIGINAL question
I am simply trying a very simple test of starting a Kafka Connect distributed worker, no plugins yet - just trying to get the basic worker going.
My distributed config is pretty stock
bootstrap.servers=GBV04303950:9092,GBV04303950:9082
group.id=connect-cluster
key.converter=org.apache.kafka.connect.json.JsonConverter
value.converter=org.apache.kafka.connect.json.JsonConverter
key.converter.schemas.enable=true
value.converter.schemas.enable=true
internal.key.converter=org.apache.kafka.connect.json.JsonConverter
internal.value.converter=org.apache.kafka.connect.json.JsonConverter
internal.key.converter.schemas.enable=false
internal.value.converter.schemas.enable=false

offset.storage.replication.factor=2
config.storage.topic=connect-configs
config.storage.replication.factor=2
status.storage.topic=connect-status
status.storage.replication.factor=2
However I get the following error
C:\kafka\ClusterOne\connect-worker_1>.\bin\windows\connect-distributed.bat .\etc\kafka-connect-replicator\replicator-connect-distributed.properties

The only reason I can think of for this is my local drive is locked down and doesn't let you create folders unless you have Elevated rights. I am running this from a CMD prompt that was started with elevated rights but as I've noticed, this doesn't always translate down to passing those rights on to processes spawned from within the CMD prompt. But I'm not sure how I can provide elevated rights to the java process that's trying to unpack the JAR.
Also, that error is followed by a long stream of ClassNotFoundException, I assume because the above error means JARs cannot be unpacked to load all the required classes

Can anyone suggest if they think my theory about elevated rights is why this isn't working or how I could get around this?
Inside the share/java/kafka folder there is a kafka.jar about 26 bytes.
If you look at it with a text editor, you can see, that it is a link.
Copy the linked jar to kafka.jar.
On windows, you should also set the plugin.path to an absolute path.
You will get a few errors, while starting, that is due to missing aws and other jars.
I am trying to connect a java program to a database. I have sajdbc4.jar in the build path and it worked before, but now I keep getting this error when I try to make the connection:

Can someome please help me? Can't find anything abount this issue online.
For windows find this file in your computer:
dbjdbc12.dll
For linux find this file:
libdbjdbc12.so
Put the location of this file on the java.library.path either with a command line option:
java -Djava.library.path=DIRECTORYWITHDLL ...
or using System.setProperty in your code:
System.setProperty("java.library.path","DIRECTORYWITHDLL");
For Linux, you need to add the dbjdbc12.so to java.library.path using:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/some/path/that/contain/dbjdbc12.so
this is the same for dbjdbc16 also.
Since, sybase.jdbc4 driver need this file. Please refer- https://blogs.sap.com/2014/05/02/connecting-to-sql-anywhere-using-jdbc-2/#:~:text=jar%20is%20in%20the%20classpath,Connection%20con%20%3D%20DriverManager.
Similarly, for windows add dbjdbc12.dll file.
For SQL Anywhere 17 libdbjdbc17.so was not suffiecient, it was then complaning about the next file:
failed: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/local/tomcat/native-jni-lib/libdbjdbc17.so: libdbtasks17_r.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
So I ended up adding all files from the lib64 folder from the Database client (after I installed it on some other linux machine) to my tomcat lib path and it worked.

I search the reason why I got this error and what I found that I think it maybe the causes of this problem is beacause of my Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.7. From the research I made, this Java version cannot read jdbc driver that I use. So I download other jdbc driver that I think it suitable for sql server 2000. But same error still come out. So, I change my plan. I try to change my JRE to other version. But the problem is even I already change JRE to other version, it still detect same version and same error still come out every time I test the connection.
Please someone guide me how to remove this error? I'm new in Pentaho & when facing something like this, I don't know how to solve it.
I'm using the Apache Commons HTTP Client and I have included all the required jar files (ie commons-httpclient-3.0.1.jar and commons-httpclient-3.1.jar) in the class path.
The purpose of this code is to send files (in this case images) to the content management system when a website user creates and saves a new image article. The exception appears in the File Sender window when the filesender attempts to transfer images from the Tomcat temp folder to the CMS. This causes the process to fail and the images remain stuck in the temp folder.
What could be the cause of this error?

I'm running a 3rd party app which fails with the following stacktrace when trying to create a SSL connection to a server:
The root exception is this:
Caused by: java.lang.SecurityException: Toolkit not encapsulated by a jar.

at com.rsa.jcm.f.jg.b(Unknown Source)

Has anyone seen this occur when connecting over SSL that uses RSA? I've worked the google and there isn't anything obvious as to why this would happen.
This particular error happens on a Mac, and I've got a windows version of the same app which works correctly. Main difference being they bundle the JRE in the windows version, so I checked various security policies etc but there are no great differences in the JRE on windows vs the JRE on my mac.
The full stacktrace looks like this:
Caused by: java.lang.Error: Problem loading module.

Answering as I worked it out (5 years ago..). This exception happens when there is whitespace in the fully qualified path to the jar file that is been executed.
So this works:
/Users/stringy05/app/app.jar
But if you use a path with a space:
/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/stringy05/app/app.jar
Then it fails. When this originally happened I had a soft link in /Users/stringy05 to another hard disk, so either java or the OS was resolving the link path to the real path and it would fail.
