I'm creating a java web-scraping project. I want to package the application using maven but struggling with this error.

Can any maven experts give me some tips on how to package a jar successfully and how to resolve this error? :)

use maven-dependency-plugin to copy the depenedencies to libs directory as metioned below. Insert this plugin before maven jar plugin under the build section

How to fix "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/dropbox/core/json/JsonReader$FileLoadException"

If a more experienced StackOverflow user could advise how to make the question more understandable please do.
I am using Eclipse Maven to compile and an example from https://github.com/dropbox/dropbox-sdk-java, more specifcally the authorize example so I can produce and Auth file however when I grab all the code and put it in a new maven project and linked in the sdk to the libraries it still reports the error

So far I have tried moving the lib files and have looked at other solutions on stack overflow however most seem to be under different context that or I am even more inept. Questions prompted by "Similar Questions" include

however these are under entirely different context further more I have asked on the github itself but without any response (yet).

My actual code is identical to that of the code in the Dropbox example.
I run mvn clean package while within the correct folder then run
java -jar C:\Authoriser\my-app\target\my-app-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
which produces the aforementioned error rather producing any other errors such as being without any errors.

I've just created the following pom.xml for the authorize example of the dropbox-sdk-java. Just put it under https://github.com/dropbox/dropbox-sdk-java/tree/master/examples/authorize and see if you can go anywhere with that:

The build completes with no issues but when executing the jar it writes
no main manifest attribute, in local maven repo / my jar.
I sought aid at the docs and Baeldung too to no avail.
I seek assistance to make the jar include its dependencies and is executable at the same time.

The Project works when i'm starting it from the IDE. But when i'm using the command java -jar to open the jar file it reports an Error.

I think it might be because you don't include in your classpath the dependencies your program is using, to solve this:
Add to the "maven-jar-plugin" under <addClasspath>:
<classpathPrefix>lib/</classpathPrefix>
Then add this plugin to the build section in your pom.xml:
