I have newly created a spring boot project and added spring cloud and azure active directory and lots of dependency, now while I am trying to run my application I am getting below error.

Spring Boot application not starting maybe because of dependency

Wildfly Swarm Uber Jar failing cause of missing Dependancy that the application code base doesnt use

Background:
Currently we run our Java EE applications off monolith wildfly servers. I have been working with the developers to get the applications ready to move to microservices. Because of an article by James Falkner over at developers dot redhat, I decided to go with creating a hollow jar using wildfly-swarm so the creation and deployment of new containers would be super fast. I also figured that moving from wildfly to wildfly swarm would be easier than moving to springboot.
The Problem:
After more work than i expected i did get an Uber jar to build, figuring once i had that i could muck about and get the hollow jar working. The problem comes when running the jar i keep getting the same error:

I talked to the developers and their code doesn’t use the resteasy-spring module, so i figure its something that wildfly-swarm is asking for but after trying all the things i could find on google about this, none worked.
My Question:
If anyone has any ideas to fix this Error, I will try anything you send me, even if it is redoing some of the things I have already tried. i figure if you mention it, you got it working for you and maybe i missed something when trying to do it off the google results.

Upgrading project from spring 2.5 to 3.2 I have replaced the old spring jars with new spring 3.1.1 jars. When I deployed and trying to hit the server. I am getting the following error.

Please remove the older version of spring if you want to use a new version.
It is a very bad idea to have multiple versions of spring in one application.
You will spend hours and hours of wasting time for solving magical errors occurs with your application just because of two versions of spring jars.

I came across with the same issue and I used the Maven Dependency BOM. It works perfect. The ---Version---Number is the Spring Framework version you are using in your project.

Maven: slf4 jars with different versions are added after pom compile, and war gets version conflict error because of that

I am having issue with my pom. Even when I am not adding any dependancy in the pom, in war I am getting:
1. slf4j-api-1.5.11.jar
2. slf4j-api-1.6.1.jar
3. slf4j-log4j12-1.6.1.jar
Issue: due to this My war doesn't run on the server and gets error regarding conflict. I need to resolve this issue.
Manual Solution: I remove the slf4j-api-1.5.11.jar manually from the war and it starts running on the server.
Can you please help me to avoid this manual solution and My pom is it self handles it. I also used exclusion, but of no vain.

While YMomb's answer should work (and its easy), you can also explicitly exclude transitive dependencies from a dependency.
To find which dependencies consist org.slf4j as a transitive dependency, run
mvn dependency:tree -Dincludes=org.slf4j:*
This will give you something like , ( at least it gave me from above of your dependencies)

Means 'quartz' has it, exclude the org.slf4j from it.
