Moving from activity A to activity B and back from activity B to activity A

I'm very new to this and I've been looking around the forum for a while to get an answer to my question but I can't seem to get this working and I would very much appreciate help from your pros :)
As the title specifies I would like to go from activity A to activity B on a button click and from activity B on a button click go back to activity A.
My problem is first of all that I can't even go from activity A to activity B because the app crashes when I press the button. Why?
Second I would like to know if my code for returning from activity B to activity A is correct.
My code to go from activity A to activity B

Register your Activity B in the manifest file

Put these lines in your maifest
<activity android:name=".CV"/>

You should register Activity B in your AndroidManifest.xml
Your manifest should look like this:

Android application failed to start activity

I want to know why it cannot open up new java class.
When I try to start new activity, it will be crash.

Be sure that you add RegisterActivity to your AndroidManifest.xml inside <application> tag:

Delete this line from onCreate method: MainActivity.this.finish();
If you want to stop or pause MainActivity, use:

Parse Push "No Activity Found" on opening Push Notification

I want to open HomeActivity on notification tap. Any help will be appreciated. If any other file is required, please let me know I'll add it.

You can extend ParsePushBroadcastReceiver and override onPushOpen method.

Android - ClassNotFoundException (TwitterAPI)

Okay so I've been messing around with the Twitter API, and all of a sudden I've started to get the ClassNotFoundException error code when I try and enter the Activity which has my login box to sign into Twitter.

so i tried varying the class names here and there and also the activity name. As soon as the emulator starts the error comes saying the Launcher has failed and the app doesn't start off at all .. i cant remember the EXACT change i did before this error started ..

You need to point the AndroidManifest at MainActivity:

Or, if you Activity is called abc or splash, and is located in your main package, you can use:

</activity>

Your manifest points to two activities: "abc" and "splash" but your source code is called MainActivity. Either renmae MainActivity to abc or edit the manifest to point to MainActivity instead of abc.
